BBC News - Boris Johnson, Rishi Sunak and Penny Mordaunt: Who are MPs backing?
www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-63343308

Mine hasn't declared however I sent her an email saying basically unless she wants to completely wipe out the CP she should support Sunak. None of my friends want to see BJ return and we are the ones that turn up to vote.

Casdon Sun 23-Oct-22 10:37:36

Mine is backing Sunak. That doesn’t make her any less of a useless article as a constituency MP though.

Calendargirl Sun 23-Oct-22 10:38:13

I’ve no idea who my MP is backing.

Blossoming Sun 23-Oct-22 10:41:15

We don’t have a Conservative MP.

Luckygirl3 Sun 23-Oct-22 10:58:55

Don't know how I might know this.

I just feel that the country has come to a pretty pass when I know I will be relieved if Sunak becomes PM - what an indictment on the state of our government.

Grandmabatty Sun 23-Oct-22 11:01:03

Most of Scotland doesn't have any conservative MPs. So I'm looking on with disgust

rosie1959 Sun 23-Oct-22 11:23:08

Ours is backing Sunak

MaizieD Sun 23-Oct-22 11:24:21

Mine appears to be backing Sunak, too. He's a bit of an opportunist, though... could change sides when it comes to voting...

MaizieD Sun 23-Oct-22 11:25:28

With a great deal of justification... ??

Prentice Sun 23-Oct-22 11:29:42

I do not have a Conservative MP, but not all are wanting to make their choices public just at the moment.

Redhead56 Sun 23-Oct-22 11:31:19

We don’t have a Conservative MP either.

Jaxjacky Sun 23-Oct-22 11:53:20

Ours is supporting Sunak.

annsixty Sun 23-Oct-22 11:53:33

I have just emailed my MP, William Wragg and await his reply with bated breath.
I am not a Conservative voter but feel the future and credibility of the country and our standing in the world is at stake in the next few months.

Nandalot Sun 23-Oct-22 12:47:14

Ours is publicly backing Johnson despite having written in a reply to my DH during the lockdown fiasco that Johnson was a disgrace.

paddyann54 Sun 23-Oct-22 12:56:04

We NEED an election this fiasco is not acceptable .

merlotgran Sun 23-Oct-22 13:04:37

I’ve no idea who myMP Is backing but having watched The Wheel last night I think it would be a brilliant way of deciding the winner. ?

Callistemon21 Sun 23-Oct-22 13:14:02

Gosh! My MP has done the right thing and backed Rishi Sunak ?

ayse Sun 23-Oct-22 13:17:34

Dominic Grieve on LBC this morning suggested that lots of MPs were not going to vote because Sunak already had more than 100. Don’t know how true this is.

At the least Sunak cannot possibly be worse than Boris or Truss, can he?

I just want rid of the lot of them

Callistemon21 Sun 23-Oct-22 13:31:17

I don't think we're going to get a GE, ayse

At least we can hope that Sunak knows what he's doing.

Wheniwasyourage Sun 23-Oct-22 14:57:17

We (sadly) do have a Scottish Tory MP, and he has not yet declared who he is backing. On his previous form he would change his mind several times anyway.

I agree with you, ayse - let's get rid of the whole boiling as soon as possible.

Juicywords Sun 23-Oct-22 15:05:48

Pleased to see my MP is backing Rishi Sunak as well.

I can’t believe Boris Johnson is even allowed to stand when he is under investigation by the House of Commons privileges committee into lying.

Ladyleftfieldlover Sun 23-Oct-22 15:22:35

I’ve just emailed my MP and asked who he is supporting.

Callistemon21 Sun 23-Oct-22 15:23:47

Ladyleftfieldlover

I’ve just emailed my MP and asked who he is supporting.

Is he on the list in the link, LLFL?
It keeps being updated.

silverlining48 Sun 23-Oct-22 15:47:37

I mailed my mp ( who I don’t vote fir) asking who he supported. I just checked the list upthread it’s for Boris Johnson. Words fail.

Grannybags Sun 23-Oct-22 15:56:31

Just checked the link and can't see my MP on there yet.

I'm lucky to have a hard working MP that does a lot for the local area and I'd be sorry to see him lose his seat.
