Of course I (and others) understand that forced medical intervention is unacceptable, and entirely unnecessary for people to have sex with people they are attracted to. But do you understand that there is a huge difference between that and wanting to be exempt from the rules and laws that apply to others of your sex, and do you understand that there is no way to tell which men who want to be in changing rooms when naked teenage girls are there because they 'feel like' women, and which are there because they feel like looking at naked ones?
Seriously - if there were, I would be far less concerned, but self-id means that anyone can choose to go to a ladies swimming session and 'get off' on the reaction of the women and children who can clearly see that there is a man in the room. Or insist on being incarcerated with a woman in a locked cell night after night. Or all the other examples that are given over and over. If someone is so sure that he is 'in the wrong body', then making some sort of commitment to that, in the form of medication or surgery is likely to put a lot more minds at rest, then of course you are never going to understand the concerns of people who want to put the needs of women above the wants of a small number of men.
