Mental health is a term that is used far too lightly.
Anxiety describes your feelings, Bea.

No. We are much further from WW3 than we were in 1962 at the height of the Cuban missile crisis when most of the Left, CND, etc., swallowed Soviet assurances there were no missiles only to be embarrassed after a few weeks by the aerial photographs showing them in place. Well handled by JFK and Robert McNamara and a careful back down by Kruschev. I doubt any jets will be sent to Ukraine by the UK unless they are tokens. Long training and limited supplies!

Well my mental health is suffering as have empathy for anyone in need of help -

I expect you're anxious, Putin is unpredictable.
It's a worrying time.

However, people in Ukraine are the ones suffering, we may feel empathy but we are not living the reality.

I may feel anguished when I see those people in Turkey and Syria but I am not living their reality either.

We can only do what we can to help such as make donations; if we can't do that perhaps we can send unwanted goods to our nearest Red Cross or Oxfam shop.

"Don't meet trouble halfway" is a good adage.

If Russia wins in Ukraine what could happen next? Putin wants the USSR back and if he tries to take back NATO countries it will be WW3.

No, WW3 is not the reality, in my opinion.

I'm sure the people of Ukraine, Turkey and Syria are the ones whose mental health might be suffering.

Looking at TV coverage ...I'm feeling anxious that the more we send/spend on helping Ukraine, we're cooperating am not saying we shouldn't but just thinking how others feel about how far we go..we're already in crisis with NHS and need of financial assistance for cost of living assistance and this is too much for people's mental health sad
