Camilla has reportedly indicated she wants her five grandchildren (three are pictured left); Lola and Eliza, both 15, Freddy, 13, and twins Louis and Gus, also 13, to hold the canopy over her as she is anointed with holy oil on May 6.

Or she would have sat on a bench outside with her head tilted to the side.

🤣🤣🤣

Still waiting to hear if other GNs, divorced or not advocate inviting the ex partner to a celebration for the remarried spouse and partner.
If you were divorced Glorianny, and were having a celebration, would you invite your ex (and possible new spouse) to the affair?

My parents were divorced, both sets of parents were included in family celebrations, both here in the U.K. and abroad.

Jeer at Diana all you want
It says nothing about her and everything about you.
It won't validate or beautify the ugly reality about to unfold in May.

Who is "jeering" as far as I'm concerned we are acknowledging Diana's abilities to take over photo opportunities and events. It was something she did so well.

I think you will find that it was the press that singled Diana the Princess of Wales out for photos, she was very photogenic and they knew having her on the front page would sell their newspapers.

I don't think anybody is jeering at Diana. She was beautiful and charismatic, but definitely flawed. Camilla is a steadier character and a better partner for Charles in every way.

Well, if Diana hadn’t died in such tragic circumstances 25+ years ago, none of us know how things would have evolved.

Would she be re-married by now? (Probably, yes).

Would Charles and Camilla have married? (Not sure, although Charles was divorced, he was also technically a widower when he re-married).

Would Harry have turned out like he has? ( I don’t think so, with his mother on the scene, the whole ‘spare’ issue wouldn’t have mattered so much, as he always had his mum on his side).

Would Diana have been invited to the Coronation? (Yes, I think so, dressed to kill and destined to out-glitter the whole caboodle).

I am not jeering at her at all. I had a sneaking admiration for those qualities.

I didn’t think Camilla was going to be crowned with holy oil. Prince Philip wasn’t King and I can’t understand why a Queen Consort would be elevated to t receive holy oil. I will lookup the coronation of George VI.

I can't see any self-respecting teenage boy wanting to wear this.
Lounge suits would be refreshing - and will they all get a medal to wear, like Viscount Severn at the vigil to Her Majesty (aged 14)?

What a grump☹️

I think it’s a lovely idea.

I’ve looked it up and the George VI coronation gave his Queen Elizabeth a simpler ceremony. She was crowned Queen and not Queen Consort as Camilla is according to the wishes of the Queen. Still puzzled but there you go we will watch it just as I did in 1953 on a friend’s 9” black and white tv.

Whatever knee-jerk reaction Diana may have had to the cold, adulterous and manipulative behaviour of her husband not to mention to the growing realisation that she was the toy for both Charles & his ladylove to manipulate since the very outset have absolutely nothing/zero to do with the fitness of either manipulator to be king or queen.
Adultery was the least of their sins.

Well said, faye17.
Cannot believe how much hypocrisy is being said.
This adulterous pair will never been my king and queen.
