I am not sure that all the highly paid are as needy / greedy whatever the reason that they can only value themselves by amassing more money than they could ever spend. I expect some of them enjoy their job and their community and know that hey are very lucky, and would not therefore, stomp off in a huff if they were not paid quite so much.
I also agree with MaizieD that they are not indispensable, nobody is, they could be replaced.
It always seems as if richer people need to be offered more in order to do a job, whereas poorer people are seen as having to be made even poorer as their incentive to work.
As for the Forde report, if it had said what Keir Starmer wanted it to say, he would be shouting it from the rooftops. It did not, therefore no more will be heard about it in the mainstream media.
