i think we have learnt by now that so many things said by them have turned out to be fabricated to boost their ratings so i take all they say with a pinch of salt after all they wanted their privacy yet are always in the press details given out by their friend ! scbie

So one picture , mother appears to have fallen asleep, Markle sitting relaxed,hands on lap, Harry taking a video. No seat belts on. It's a set up. I believe NYPD, Mayor and taxi driver. Why are you so determined it was any different.

I really,really have never understood all this papp hype. In the first place, you cannot, absolutely cannot, be chased unless you are the first to run! FACT, secondly, what is so painfully, life threatening about having your photo taken??? If they just stood still and glared at the photographers, who do you think would be the first to walk away? Nothing to see here folks, just move on????

Well, let's imagine this.

You and your children can't even go to the park without some papp trying to take your picture. You run because there are people you don't know trying to take your picture without your permission. If they get a picture of you glaring, its all over the tabloids tomorrow - Bluesmum in temper meltdown - what would her sainted grandmother think?

Sounds like the paps were trying to follow them home, or to wherever they were going. I know I would have found it all terrifying and would also have been bursting for a wee. Nobody should have to put up with that sort of thing when going about their everyday lives. I imagine it had extra significance after Diana's death. Although a high speed race was avoided it still sounds dangerous and very frightening and someone could have been badly injured.

There is probably some truth in there but like all stories there is always some distortion especially from the press. It appears H&M didn’t want their destination revealed to protect the privacy of the friends they were staying with. Maybe they weren’t chased as such but Harry is paranoid about the press following the tragic death of his mother and this incident could easily have sparked a serious mental reaction. If you have ever been in a car crash you instinctively duck and flinch when back in a car and another comes towards you, for sometime afterwards. I doubt Meghan or mum experienced quite the same horror as Harry. Now they seem to be using the incident for publicity purpose.

Trying to draw a parallel where there isn't one to maximise publicity and sympathy. This was not a high speed car chase and if they were in any danger, it would be because none of them were wearing seat belts.

Really? Doria texting the police....... do people who feel in danger text the police? I thought in the USA you phone 911.
Given that Harry blames paps for his mother's death I can understand his love hate relationship with them. He needs them for publicity but hates their intrusion, perfectly understandable. The only person to survive the crash that killed his mother was the only person wearing a seatbelt in that car, so why on earth does he break the law and not wear a seatbelt? Surely he would ask his wife and mother-in-law to protect themselves by wearing seat belts, they're proved to save lives.
