The mechanism for problems on GN is reporting whether you like it or not, I feel conflicted about it but I dont expect GN or MN to stand alone in having completely free speech, that would be ridiculous. Reporting is the mechanismused on this site and people are free to use it as they like.

I agree with this. Anyone can report if they want to.

But members can't claim the moral high ground just because someone 'the clique' dislike gets posts reported. Because 'the clique' click away on the old report button, on repeat.

I mostly CBA to report. I don't care if others don't like me, I wouldn't bother reporting insults towards me. I only report if someone is outright racist, homophobic, engaging in hate speech.

Reports I have had in the past have twisted the meaning as well

Goodness, are you suggesting that GN delete inoffensive posts just because 'the clique' report them? I thought they only deleted posts that go against the ethos of the site.

But wishing someone ill because they've moved away from that organisation does. Not that I'm saying you personally did that (before that is misinterpreted). On the thread in general.

Just because someone disagrees with you and agrees with someone else doesn't mean they are in a clique.

I'm sorry they went, they could have been a great asset to the country, but I can understand why.
However, their behaviour since has puzzled me. 🤔

My thoughts on the "clique" as such is that they are people who overlook each other's comments that are very much not ok and sometimes very personal because they agree with those commenters on many subjects and want that agreement.

Often disliking the same behaviours they ignore in those who agree with them and pointing it out in others

I cannot understand putting my own values aside in such a way and don't which is why I've stood up for those people when I've seen them receive those comments on many occasions

GagaJo didn't call Fanny any of those things, she said those views were represented on the forum and some people stand up to it.

Fanny's exposed reporting said that I was complaining about being bullied and that I try to get threads deleted. None of which is true. So if you are intentionally saying things that aren't true, you are a .... (fill in the blanks)

I haven't seen anyone ^wishing them ill^. I see posters who have little or no sympathy because H in particular appears to be relentlessly seeking publicity while simultaneously declaring a desire for privacy.

There's also the issue for some of finding it very difficult to believe a lot of what they and/or their spokesperson claim due to the number of lies and unsubstantiated claims they have made in the past and the subject of this thread looks like another one.
