I came across this article posted on MN.
It strikes me as very perceptive as Harry yet again drags up his mother’s death at the Invictus Games.
It’s so inappropriate and disrespectful to those thousands of injured servicemen and their relatives that an over-privileged, extremely wealthy individual constantly turns the subject to himself.

Anniebach Mon 04-Sept-23 15:18:27

Harry was not forced to walk behind the coffin, he said he wanted to because William wanted to.

He also said his mother was murdered because she was with a man who was not white . Seems he had forgotten she was with
Hasnet Khan for 2 years. Before Fayed.

Oh I didn't know that's why he wrote 'Let it be' Joseann what a lovely tribute. I shall listen to it with 'new ears' so to speak from now on.

What's ridiculous for me Glorianny is H's obsession. Does he really think there's anyone living who doesn't know the tragedy of his mother's death?

Joseann Mon 04-Sept-23 15:32:35

Paul Mccartney
My mother’s death broke my dad up. That was the worst thing for me, hearing my dad cry. I’d never heard him cry before. It was a terrible blow to the family. You grow up real quick, because you never expect to hear your parents crying. You expect to see women crying, or kids in the playground, or even yourself crying – and you can explain all that. But when it’s your dad, then you know something’s really wrong and it shakes your faith in everything. But I was determined not to let it affect me. I carried on. I learnt to put a shell around me at that age. There was none of this sitting at home crying – that would be recommended now, but not then.

Allsorts

If he was interested in mental health, he could work to help them, f havent his money or no need to ever work. He wouldn’t last two day without his families money. Does he not realise how very offensive he is.

So could the rest of his family. But you will struggle to find anything they have established and stuck to.
William does go on about his own mental helth. Try Googling him and mental health. Since 2017 he's spoken about it almost every year. Funny how that's OK isn't it?
The RF are good at making noise and opening things, not good for much else. None of them spend their own money so why pick on Harry?

I don't understand this unpleasantness about a man you have never met and who has no influence on your lives. The same nasty remarks repeated over and over again.

timetogo2016 Mon 04-Sept-23 16:34:14

He changed when M came into his life.
He still has a father and should be grateful, yet between him and M he is distancing himself from his family,i believe it is her doing.

I think it's because we are brainwashed into thinking this family are up on a pedestal (chosen by god apparently) and are so much more important than they deserve adulation and wealth. The whole 'never complain, never explain' means they're shrouded in mystery.
Harry has talked and shown them up for what they are. A dysfunctional family which is full of very average people.

It's interesting comparing them to Paul McCartney, he's a wealthy man as is Charles but he earnt his through talent, hard work and determination, Charles achievement was to be born. Paul was also a hands on and loving dad even taking his kids on tour with him. Charles sent his newly bereaved sons off to boarding school.

The trouble with Harry is that he lies so much, perhaps he always has and the Palace covered it up to present the happy to lucky chap we all liked so much. The British press spilled the beans about him being in Afghanistan! No they didn't, it was an American article picked up by a Australian woman's magazine. The press weren't concerned about the injured and dead in Afghanistan. Well, that is a blatant disgraceful lie which has been well and truly disproved. No one to help him or talk to him? Interview in 2017 where he praises his brother for advising him to seek help! And so it goes on! He tells such obvious lies, so easily disproved! I find him quite awful, and his cruelty to the late Queen with his lies and refusal to see him when she was dying absolutely appalling and unforgivable .

read them all then did you!

Yes he constantly lies and since his marriage has used the memory of his mother so much.

😂

Oh yes, that paragon, the twice engaged, thrice married pop star Paul McCartney who has told us all about his drug use which enabled him to see God!!

At least he's vegetarian. 😃

NotSpaghetti Mon 04-Sept-23 17:06:42

I suppose, Glorianny, we are talking about him again because of
RosesandLilac's thread about an article - which I thought was interesting incidentally.

tickingbird Mon 04-Sept-23 17:22:57

Dodi Fayed was black?? Who knew?

Anniebach Mon 04-Sept-23 17:25:07

It troubled Harry

WellsRose Mon 04-Sept-23 17:25:14

@callistemom21 what a nasty comment. He would still be married to his first wife Linda if she hadn't died of breast cancer. Has he ever claimed to be a paragon of virtue unlike Charles who is the Head of a Church.

. Evidence of that Glorianny?

Reminds me of another argument you use that defends someone for what he does because others aren’t without blame.

M0nica Mon 04-Sept-23 17:30:29

Glorianny Many have done far worse, seen their mothers raped and killed. I ma not suggesting that it was a pleasant experience, but there are plenty equally dreadful experiencess other children have associated with the death of a parent

You are surprising defender for a member of the Royal family

M0nica Mon 04-Sept-23 17:32:48

Glorianny One comes to mind, a boy, the same age as Harry, first his mother tried to persuade all her children to commit suicide and when that failed, she killed the youger. That family also had a very complex family situation before and afer the event.

Gossamerbeynon1945 Mon 04-Sept-23 17:43:24

You'd think he was the onlyone who had ever lost a parent!!!!

MerylStreep Mon 04-Sept-23 17:45:50

By the time my closest male friend was 38 he had lost a child to drowning and his wife to cancer.
He found love again in later life and she died of cancer.
No one would ever ever know. He has the most wonderful happy outlook on life.

HousePlantQueen Mon 04-Sept-23 17:46:08

Irritated though I am with Harry, I feel sympathy for a man who faces such sheer nastiness as the front page of the Daily Express recently; digging up the allegations that Charles was 'disappointed that Harry wasn't a daughter'. Why this vile publication thought this necessary or in 'the public interest' is beyond me. Combine this, and some people's inability to let go of Saint Diana,is it any wonder he has problems?

Oh, here we go.

I remember your posts from previous riyal threads, nasty would describe your posts.

Glorianny Mon 04-Sept-23 18:06:43

As I have already said all this focus on one short speech in a 5 part documentary. It isn't Harry who has the problem and is obsessed.
The quasi-religious status of the RF always puzzles me. They have been seriously dysfunctional for generations. But Harry is the one with the problem!!!

Anniebach Mon 04-Sept-23 18:12:55

Harry is surely a gift from the gods for republicans
