This must be tge first time ever I agree with the odious JC, but on this occasion I do, ordinary Palestians were nor responsible for the start of this but Hamas was. Israel were not right the way they expected so many people to crowd together on that strip of land, what if the situation was reversed, eventually both sides have to talk and most important listen.

International law we should all follow.
Palistinians have a right to defend themselves from occupation, in law. Israel does not have the right to defend their occupation, in law.
America and Israel both comit war crimes with impunity they do what they want, do not follow international law.
Utter nonsense.

Saudi Arabia is far from "moderate" however, it conducts it's activities differently to Iran and uses more covert tactics, but "moderate" it is most certainly not. Currently it suits it's purpose to ally itself with the US but was implicated in the Attacks of 9/11. I also doubt Egypt would want any role in overseeing Gaza.
Saudi don’t have our standards of freedom but there are plenty of others that don’t.
We are all loved up to China but their human rights record is probably worse than Saudi we live in an imperfect world
Doesn't Russia's invasion and hideous bombing war in Ukraine count as a war crime, the Houthi rebels in Yemen, Saudi Arabia for the bombing of Yemen, the bombing of North West Syria by Russia and government forces? Always America, always Israel, never anyone else.
The letter is typical Corbyn in other words so so easy to sit there spouting pacifist socialist gubbins without having to make any hard decisions. He’s supported all kinds of terrorist riff raff down the years including Hezbollah and the IRA, who he showed round Westminster and didn’t he call them his friends? To think that guy was elected to be leader of the LP is sickening never mind imagining him as a PM.

the actions of 7/10 were probably fuelled by drugs
Oh that’s alright then!If the barbaric terrorists were under the influence of drugs when they carried out those heinous acts, they have had over three weeks to contemplate their actions.
Instead they drip feed the videos of the murders into social media platforms, the violation of the bodies, the torture of innocents before being murdered in front of family members…
They could also release all of the hostages immediately, doing so would show a willingness of Hamas to negotiate…
Israel could stop bombing innocent civilians.
The hostages might then be released.
No conflict is one sided.
It's a ridiculous argument. You are never going to acknowledge that the only way forward is negotiation, although it is perfectly obvious that it is.
40% of the deaths in Gaza are children
“Human animals must be treated as such. There will be no electricity and no water [in Gaza], there will only be destruction. You wanted hell, you will get hell,” said Major General Ghassan Alian, head of Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT).
That's the view some Israelis take of Palestinians.
Inhumanity is not the preserve of one side

You may be "loved up" to. China, I am most certainly not. 15-55 million people died during Mao's Great Leap Forward either starved to death in the Great Chinese famine, executed or worked to death. China's human rights record is appalling? The treatment of Uighurs is dreadful. I am not a believer in excusing inhuman treatment by one country because it is seen as a little less inhuman than anothers. Let's at least be honest and admit that countries ignore human rights compliance when it suits them. That's why there are illegal settlements in the West Bank and the abuse of Palestinians have been largely ignored.

Hamas started this conflict on 7/10 by their heinous and barbaric actions. If they had not attacked and murdered on that day the conflict wouldn’t be happening.
Israel is a sovereign country and has a right to defend itself agains lawless terrorists.
Hamas hide their weaponry amongst innocent civilians and use innocent civilians and hostages as human shields.
The blood is on the collective Hamas hands and consciences.
No doubt there will be dialogue eventually, but in the meantime it’s the innocents on both sides who will suffer and die.
My previous message is for*Katie 59*
He was talking of hamas after they had recently unleashed hell on families in Israel.
Whatever you, I or anyone else on this thread thinks, believes or wishes, it wasn’t our countrymen who were butchered on the 7th October for no other reason than they were thought to be Israeli and Jewish. They weren’t all, but that didn’t matter to
Hamas members.
It isn’t our call as to what to do in order to obliterate a terrorist organisation who hides in family homes, hospitals and other places and who’s only aim in life is to kill every Jew they possibly can.
What’s happening in Gaza is awful for innocent civilians who
don’t support hamas, tho sadly many do and the real victims are children, just as in any war throughout the ages.
Israel will do whatever it needs to right now whether anybody else likes it or not,
Oreo I agree
The video footage (by Hamas) of that massacre is so dreadful, its almost impossible to watch. that the avowed intent of Hamas, confirmed by Hamas leader yesterday, is to wipe Israel off the face of the earth and kill all Israeli Jews is hardly conducive to allowing a cease fire during which Hamas will certainly re arm, re group, prepare bigger and more powerful rockets in order to start round 2 as and when. Destruction of the evil that is Hamas is the only option Israel has.
The video footage wasn’t even all released as viewed too horrible for the world to see. Only journalists were invited to watch it and some of them vomited because it was so horrific. Others cried. We saw tiny bits of it only.
Now we’re all crying for the innocent children, the Israeli children and the Palestinian children.
We cannot get away from the fact that the Palestinians voted Hamas in. The Israelis had left Gaza so it could be autonomous and they voted Hamas in, and now their children are dying in the most heartbreaking way, just as the Israeli children died. They need to release their hostages. One of those hostages is nine months old. They need to be released. We can all pontificate till the cows come home but the Israelis won’t talk until their hostages are released safely.

The Israelis backed Hamas. They prevented 2021 elections by not allowing Palestinians in East Jerusalem to be included.
Strange how the deaths of over 3000 children are so easily dismissed whilst the deaths of the murdered Israelis are so widely condemned. Perhaps it is to do with seeing the slaughter. Deaths in air raids are forgettable, because they are not seen.
I doubt if any of those murdered children voted for Hamas. I wonder how many 9 month olds have died in Gaza?
Glorianny despite you constantly bringing it up not one poster has dismissed the deaths of Palestinians, children or otherwise.
Yes you're right it was only snippets which were enough. The narrative supplied by Israeli pathologists was difficult to listen to. The plight of those poor Palestinians is entirely the work of Hamas. Whats happening in Gaza is shocking but using civilians as human shields? How could their own government do this? Just appalling.
Not dismissed perhaps but to me the deaths are minimised by blaming Hamas rather than the Israelis who are doing the bombing. 8000 Palestinians are already dead, 3000 of these are or were, children. How many more.? All this will do is act as a recruiting Sargent.
War is brutal, every innocent death is one too many.
I have had to wave our son off to war in The Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan to name just a few over the last 33 years, along with dangerous peace keeping duties. Many of his friends and comrades didn’t return to their families.
Hamas and Hezbollah are bombing Israel, Israel is targeting the launch sites of both.
The major difference being Hezbollah is not using Lebanese citizens as human shields are not sighting it’s missiles in/near hospitals, schools or refugee camps.
Can you not see the difference?
Where 2.3 million are squeezed into an area smaller than the Isle of Wight there is no opportunity to get away from the bombing; it’s not the people’s choosing where Hamas operate.

In an area the size of Gaza people live where they can.
Let's not forget over 50 UN personnel there on entirely humanitarian roles killed as well.
Over 9000 Palestinians killed most of them women and children. There will be men queuing up to join Hamas their family already gone.
It's not only genocide, it's useless genocide, No terrorist group in history has been destroyed by killing its members.
Israel targeted bombed the largest refugee camp in Gaza looking for one man. Hundreds killed injured included women and children.
Say in the UK police military whatever instead of going after this one man decided to target the whole neighbourhood, hundreds killed, in what way is this sane, who in their right mind would think so.
Ceasefire
One man said he lost all his three children. So sad so senseless.
