Oh this poor woman. First breast cancer and now this. Hopefully she will be receiving excellent treatment but it must still be a shock for her.

I thought: who cares? When I read it.

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 22-Jan-24 13:08:35

What? I can’t believe you can be so unpleasant as not to care that someone has cancer.

BlueBelle Mon 22-Jan-24 13:11:52

What a nasty attitude Nicolenet let’s hope you never need any empathy

Trudy1925 Mon 22-Jan-24 13:17:54

Wishing Sarah well, I like her and feel great empathy after all she’s already been going through this past year.
Not really the time to drag up the past.
Positive thoughts to her and her family.

It could happen to anyone, even you.

Hope it ends well for her - it seems there are two things in this life we have negligable control over. The weather and health.
My Ma had a mastectomy in 1970 and our family GP told my father - because Ma couldn't face asking for the test results herself - "why didn't she come to see me earlier - she has six months at best"
(This was, of course, when we had family GP's and they could discreetly breach confidentialties when neccesary)and Dad came home and told her she was OK!
And she lasted 14 more years - probably because she wasn't told the truth.
The human mind is an amazing mystery.......

I like Sarah - she’s got such a bubbly personality - never says a bad word about anybody. I’m so glad she was invited to Sandringham - hope all goes well for her….

Unfair, the Yorks divorced after 10 years of marriage

Oh dear annibach she hasnt been in court for being best friends with a paedophile or sleeping with underage girls (or boys) has she ? a bit of toe sucking shrinks into the mists compared to that

Anniebach Mon 22-Jan-24 13:34:45

BlueBelle I was replying to comments on Phillip.

Mt61 Mon 22-Jan-24 13:38:58

Poor Sarah.. probably the stress of the media putting her through the wringer, all her married life, I think she’s been a tremendous support to Andrew- I hope they re- marry- I don’t think he’s any Jimmy Savile- just made a huge mistake having a paedo for a mate!

Anniebach Mon 22-Jan-24 13:43:44

The royal family again under attack, the morning the toe sucking photograph was published Sarah was staying with her in-laws, her elder daughter was age 7 or 8, understandably her inlaws were shocked

Cossy Mon 22-Jan-24 13:46:55

I wish her well, she was secretly my favourite! But married to my least favourite!

Spuddy Mon 22-Jan-24 13:53:53

I actually quite like Sarah, no matter what anyone thinks of her, good or bad, she's basically a really nice lady and even though I'm 58, I love her little YouTube videos where she dresses in funny outfits reading kids stories she's written, and she's constantly by randy Andy's side even years after the divorce.

We love you, Sarah and wishing you well!

Cossy Mon 22-Jan-24 13:57:30

Today 12:59 Nicolenet

I thought: who cares? When I read it.

And I thought “how horrible” when I read your comment!!

Spuddy Mon 22-Jan-24 13:58:40

Nicolenet, if you don't like Sarah, OK, I respect you for that, not everyone like her, but she has CANCER, she's 64 so should have several more years left in her yet but she and all us women on here are sisters and sisters should stick together.....

Please don’t act as if “poor Andrew” is blameless, he had a number of very questionable friends, took them into Royal Palaces, wasted huge amounts of public money on a lavish lifestyle and slept with a girl of 17 in a state where 18 was the age of consent then denied event knowing her! He is a complete waste of space frankly! His ex wife and daughters seem lovely, open and very loyal!

Georgesgran Mon 22-Jan-24 14:02:54

I do hope that this has been caught in time. She always seems so ‘jolly hockey sticks’ to me, but this must be devastating.
On a different tack - maybe a reminder, especially to redheads about the use of the highest SPF creams and considered sun bathing?

Yes!

And nanna8, the number of people I see walking around in Australia with bandaged heads (men with little hair), noses, faces and other areas where they have had a melanoma removed is worrying and a sobering reminder to us all to use suncream, wear a hat and cover up if necessary.

Are you suggesting cancer is the result of stress?

Polly7 Mon 22-Jan-24 14:06:57

I wonder why (wonderful life) about children the innocents and most vulnerable are taken- this is when i changed my religious thoughts
Ive heard responses like 'you only get given what you take' ( not true or will be no suicides)
'God provides when you needy'. But what about war zones especially 🤔
I think life is just like a lottery and you are very fortunate. Fortunate or unfortunate
Having belief helps you through if you can muster it up
Things dont just happen to good folk but it really hurts when it does!
Life can seem very unfair

Cossy Mon 22-Jan-24 14:13:03

Polly7

I think you’re spot on

Anniebach Mon 22-Jan-24 14:14:02

Cossy

We don’t have states in this country

Mt61 Mon 22-Jan-24 14:30:55

Yes! I do think stress can bring on a hellva lot of illnesses, including cancer- my 50 yr old cousin was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, her consultant said the stress of the divorce could have brought it on earlier. Stress causes inflammation!

Callistemon21 Mon 22-Jan-24 14:32:21

Having treatment for cancer can depress the immune system too.

Mt61 Mon 22-Jan-24 14:36:53

I didn’t say poor him- just her, put through the wringer for her weight, etc.
he probably is, very immature, I still dont think we can compare him to Jimmy Saville or else there would be more women coming out of the woodwork! Most young girls today sleep with older blokes/ boyfriends & do it for nowt
