Should Starmer sue Sunak?

I noticed Sunak has repeated his nonsense in PMQs about Starmer and those he defended as a Barrister.

Sunak recently voiced the same nonsense in an interview with Piers Morgan. By doing so, he opened himself up to being sued. Thus also opened up the broadcaster.the

My question is, why does he keep repeating it? Does he see his supporters as so thick and stupid that they don't understand the cab rank rule for Barristers? Is he really that out of touch?

I feel he must be as he couldn't see how crass a £1,000 bet on the lives of asylum seekers would look, nor could he see how hurtful his transgender jibe would be to Brianna Ghey's mother, who was sitting in the gallery at PMQs.

Seems to me slippery Starmer will do/ say/ change his mind /anything to become Prime Minister he has no scruples in my opinion.

To be fair I want people to change their mind about the sex/gender issue, I dont want to be howling into a voidgrin. Its no good being all pure about when people realised there was a problem.

Basically, Starmer knows he now has Sunak on toast.

He'll bide his time, as he did with Johnson and the parties.

Wily old DPP knows all about timing.

Starmer’s reluctance to be hounded to make simplistic one liners on the trans issue has been supported by the Brianna tragedy. Brianna’s parents refer to her as their daughter

That doesn't alter my position though Iam64, what Starmer chooses to do is up to him. I am not cheering him on on this. I am cheering him for the way he altered Labours position on single sex spaces though.

And then there was the time he was going to build a bridge between Scotland and Ireland. Oh, hang on a minute...

Totally agree with you Germanshepherdsmum.

Why trot it out when you have been told in advance that the mother of a murdered trans teenager is in the building and expected to attend PMQ though Germanshepherdsmum? There isn’t any excuse, surely.

Why did Starmer trot out Brianna’s name when he knew her mother would be in the building?

There is no excuse for either of them, I’ve already said that - but why Sunak’s supporters don’t acknowledge his part in this I don’t understand.

If you read the posts carefully, many posters including me, aren’t excusing Sunak.

After Starmer seemed to take delight in mentioning Brianna’s name & pointing to the gallery, although he must have known her mother hadn’t yet arrived, it became inexcusable point scoring, as well as the fact that no-one is supposed to be identified by name ( surely he must know that! ). He has slipped so far in my estimation I couldn’t possibly vote for him in the next election. He obviously speaks before thinking of the consequences so can’t be respected.

If Sunak was capable of thinking on his feet he would have had the sense to not use the scripted comment about Starmer.

I don’t know who you’re talking about Mollygo, but I’m a Starmer supporter who has said from the outset that in my view it was six of one and half a dozen of the other.

Not on this thread Casdon.

14:19 today you finally said

There is no excuse for either of them. Until then I can find no mention from you on this thread acknowledging Starmer’s culpability.
