I’m surprised but delighted! A man after my own heart. He said ‘I just want my country back’.

Exactly, Callistemon. You are certainly not seen as a racist Iam. I understood precisely where you were coming from, quoting the language of the time. Obviously someone failed to grasp that.

The irony of those 'wanting my country back' reporting someone for alleged use of racist language is exquisite.

One more step and he will be back in the Labour party.

Not a chance. He’s already been ousted once, pushed not jumped.

Today's Redfield & Wilton poll has Reform on 14% - and that was a March 10th poll - ie before Anderson. Interesting.

I googled Reform’s ‘manifesto’ - someone said it resembled a primary school project. If I were the school teacher I would be running out of red ink pointing out the grammatical and other errors. I stopped reading after just one page. Dreadful.

Not really, they also were on 14% in January according the Red Wall poll I posted earlier, but on the Sky Poll Tracker, which does a weekly average of all polls conducted, they were on 10.9%. One poll does not show the bigger picture. If indeed there is an ‘Anderson Effect’ it will be on the Sky Poll Tracker in a week’s time.

Ooh I shall have a look! I could do with some humour on this wet afternoon with a dental appointment looming.

You will, I warn you, tear your hair out when you see it. To think that anyone could possibly imagine this lot being in charge of the country …

Yup, that was me! I thought the standard fitted that of a 9 year old! Yes, you’re completely correct, badly written, poor content, load of old tosh!

Thank you Callistemon. I hope I’m not seen as racist.

Not by the same non-racists here! You’ll never be seen as racist!

Will admit I know nothing about Lee Anderson bar the fact that he keeps jumping ship politics wise.Maybe he’ll be heading for the Monster Raving Loony Party next year, tho they may be too sensible for him!

Yes, the briefest look at Reform UK policy shows that it is mostly slogans about reforming this and reforming that but with little explanation as to how.

I see they don’t give a damn about the environment - worry for your grandchildren over that. Note that fracking it on the agenda.

Remember that in November 2019 the government announced an indefinite suspension to fracking, after a report by the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) said it was not possible to predict the probability or size of tremors caused by the practice.

I’d really like the enthusiasts for Reform UK to discuss something other than immigration and Muslims.

For example, I’d like one of them to explain the Emergency Health and Social Care Recovery plan that will apparently reduce waiting lists to zero in two years.

Come on Reform UK fans. Explain.

I agree with you GSM with the quality of the Reform manifesto. I understand that the people who wrote it, when in power, will be tackling the university syllabi to ensure that the teaching meets their standards.

Ironic though wasn't it, posters who call other posters racist getting their posts deleted for being racist 🤔

What’s ironic about some pillock reporting a post that wasn’t remotely racist Nicenanny3?
I think it’s better to let posts stand, we can all judge for ourselves who is racist. Clue - it definitely isn’t Iam64.

Urmstongran Tue 12-Mar-24 15:10:41

I agree with you * Casdon*. It’s always better to let posts stand.

Yes please.
I’m disgusted by some of the comments on here, at the amount of othering, at the out and out racism. Horrible.

Nicenanny3 Tue 12-Mar-24 15:24:58

If it wasn't racist why did GN delete it then 🤔

Urmstongran Tue 12-Mar-24 15:28:29

I’m a fan of fracking.

I rarely report. It’s usually better to challenge a poster, to continue a debate.
I believe it’s more honest if I do decide report is necessary, to make it clear I am reporting and why.

Nicenanny3 Tue 12-Mar-24 15:29:07

Iam64 might not be racist but the word she used to describe Pakistanis was.

Casdon Tue 12-Mar-24 15:29:13

Because GNHQ obviously didn’t read the whole thread. One trigger word in the context of what Iam64 said, referring to the attitudes of people who are racist does not constitute a racist comment - as I said, which pillock reported it I don’t know, but whoever it was suffered a brain engagement malfunction.

Might have been a poster of Pakistani origin who found it offensive lots of different people are on these forums but not all post. Anyway who knows.

Iam64 Tue 12-Mar-24 15:35:20

My post was not racist. I used a word I find offensive, used regularly to describe the Pakistani Muslim community by racists. It’s not the N word, it’s the P word. I didn’t use it in a derogatory way towards members of our community who heritage / ancestors came from Pakistan. I used it in the way some people in my town who voted Brexit did.
Ironic isn’t it, that someone reported me, rather than suggest I ask the mods to replace the offensive word which I’d have been happy to do.
