😱

Quite a large one.

Auditors don’t resign from auditing the accounts of high profile clients without good reason,

Yes. I have been wondering. I don’t think she was arrested was she? Just interviewed under caution. But as head of the party and wife of Murrell, if he is guilty of any wrongdoing I can’t see how she would not have had reason to suspect him. She’s nobody’s fool. The resignation of the auditors would also have made the alarm bells ring very loudly.

She was arrested and questioned but not charged.

Thank you. I had forgotten the details.

OOPs the picture didn't load. Its a very ordinary detached house ona wee estate outside of Glasgow...very similar to my own home .
Enjoy the rest of your day .

Of course, during her time in office the couple also had use of a grace and favour Georgian mansion in Edinburgh's New Town and we know they co-own a luxury holiday home in Portugal

They're just an ordinary wee couple.

🤣🤣

My one and only post about this!

This is a bloke who loaned the SNP £100k when they needed it and his wife hadn’t taken a wage rise since 2008. This is the house they live in.
Is this embezzlement likely?

Or can we remember the brouhaha around Alex Salmond who I said was innocent from the start and who walked free from a court of law after a jury trial>
Can we also remember that the Scottish government COULD have dealt with Alex inhouse...you know how the westminster government deals with sex offenders and criminals..but decided that we wouldn't go down that road .
Its horrific the way the Murrells have been treated by the media, the "blue tent" in their garden, the ordinary items removed from their home for heavens sake A KETTLE and a pile of what looked like empty boxes ! All done in front of crowds of press and anti SNP eegits.
Then remember how shit scared of losing Scotland WM is ...how many tens of billions of licenses Sunak sold for oil in SCOTTISH waters recently over £300 BILLION OVER THE YEARS .the billions of pound worth of BONDED whisky sitting in warehouses...far more than th gold in English BONDED facilities .
There you have a wee snippet of the WHY they want to cause this mess...and why the police action took so long....
IF Peter Murrell is guilty of anything then its stupidity for leaving himself open to WM 's machinations.
Independence is still on the cards ,its not about any one man or woman its our right to have control of our own country

Nicola Sturgeon has taken every pay rise on her MSP's salary. She (along with the rest of the SNP ministers) didn't take a pay increase on her extra ministerial salaries.

A fair number of GN members own second homes (going by their posts), so they are in good company. wink

There you go, paddyann!

I've always wanted a bay window btw.
Somewhere to put the Christmas tree.

Eazybee is "unused" as it was one of the first things that was impounded by the Police and there it remains, unavailable to the party during an election year.

Oreo Sun 21-Apr-24 02:52:43

What’s an Eazybee?

By lending the Party money and not declaring it he broke Electoral Commission rules - why would he do that?

I don't see what kind of house anyone lives in proves anything about their morality

It doesn't I hope! My home is very similar. 😂

One major problem the SNP will now probably face will be the drying up of donors.
Will they now attract big donations? just how easy can the SNP attract cash in the wake of Murrell’s arrest? I can't see it myself?

Germanshepherdsmum Sun 21-Apr-24 08:21:27

Good point.

Marydoll Sun 21-Apr-24 08:25:22

Murrell has tarnished their reputation. sad

Aveline Sun 21-Apr-24 08:38:46

An SNP MSP was quoted yesterday as saying exactly that.

Granniesunite Sun 21-Apr-24 10:05:52

I’m hoping this case does go to trial and the full truth is exposed as to exactly what has happened.

Until then I have my doubts.

I am an labour voter but have voted SNP as I do want independence.

Nicola faced the media again yesterday alone.Shes not hiding away.

I do too.

eazybee Sun 21-Apr-24 10:22:07

I am an Eazybee, sadly not unused nor in perfect condition, neither impounded by the police nor available to the party.
The reference is to the camper van(? )intended for electioneering purposes.
But you knew that anyway.

Granny23 Sat 25-May-24 15:03:45

"Murrell has tarnished their reputation." In what way? Have I missed the trial when he was found guilty of whatever? or are you just thinking "No smoke without fire" as encouraged by the unionist main stream media?

GrannyGravy13 Sat 25-May-24 15:06:31

The BBC and other news outlets are reporting that he was charged on Thursday (23/05/24) with embezzlement.

Callistemon21 Sat 25-May-24 15:08:50

Thank you for the update GrannyGravy

It was a good time to bury bad news.

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 25-May-24 15:10:35

Thanks from me too.

Politics are going daft, for goodness sake what’s the world coming to not only the uk but the world at large

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 25-May-24 15:14:02

What’s that supposed to mean?
