The BBC and other news outlets are reporting that he was charged on Thursday (23/05/24) with embezzlement.

I took this post to mean this was today’s news.

Apologies, the police sent their report to the prosecutors on 23/05/2024.

Like someone posted upthread he was charged on 18/04/2024.

He was Chief Executive of the SNP and husband of Scotland’s First Minister OldFrill

Totally embedded in Scottish politics.

Bonnybanko commented on the state of politics world wide. That’s ok as discussions can meander in real life.

The SNP have been in power in Scotland for a long time as have the Conservatives in Westminster but that doesn’t exclude a voter from any party having an opinion on world affairs.

I have never known her to express an opinion on politics outside Scotland.
