Who will the soldiers be keeping 'security" on the ground? More young IDF people?

Will the international community still keep funding arms to Israel?

Who is going to feed, house and clothe Palestinians and promote rebuilding the infrastructure so they can earn a living?

How will the Israeli peoples feel about a permanent living with war situation?

I should add, which solution is most likely to give Palestinians an alternative to regarding Hamas as their only option?

Many countries have military or paramilitary security forces, in the case of Gaza their own civilian police would take charge of day to day security. If they failed to maintain control then the military would have to take over and restore order, or repel terrorist attacks from outside.

There will be international aid for rebuilding Gaza but this must not be a cover for bringing arms into Gaza as Hamas did.

Israel produces many of their own armaments, but the US has committed to supporting them, especially from outside threats, I expect that to continue.

When the initial boundaries for Israel were drawn up in 1948/9 it did not include Gaza nor the West Bank. They were occupied by Israel following the 1967 War.
That's why its contested as to boundaries and led to

"two state solution".

That means that "river to the sea" could never be implemented, but the question of who controls Gaza remains ???

It would appear that the ultra orthodox Jews don't want any Palestinians in "their" land either. I think we all have to hope that there are enough sensible Jews and Palestinians who understand that if they want peace then there has to be compromise but that won't be achieved whilst Smotrich and Ben-Givr are in the government.
Israel cannot police Gaza indefinitely, it has to be a Palestinian government supported by an International force of some kind. It's such a mess but I think Israel is demonstrating that it's impossible to achieve a military solution so it has to be a political one. fwiw I understand that there are members of Hamas who are prepared to negotiate, they are also divided, just like the Israelis!

The State of Palestine was declared by the PLO in 1988 and recognised by 78 countries.
In 2011 it was admitted to UNESCO
In 2012 it was accepted by the UN as an observer state.
In 2024 144 of the 193 countries members of the UN recognised the State of Palestine.

Recognising them as a State doesn’t actually make Palestine a State.

At the time of the establishment of the State of Israel, the whole area was called Palestine as a British Protectorate.

The whole area was never called Israel.

Historic fact.

Unless both sides compromise there will never be a chance of peace.

Many/most countries were taken by conquest including the UK and we’ve had our share of civil bloodshed in the past, Israel is no different the victor will prevail. Palestine/Hamas is no match for Israel, I don’t believe international pressure will make a jot of difference.

It reminds me of Japan at the end of WW2 preparing for a land invasion, they were calculating losses in the millions but still resolved to fight on, when it was hopeless. Hamas are the same kind of fanatics, except the leaders are safe away from the fighting and quite happy that civilians are dying.

Hamas must be loving it. All the criticism directed towards Israel. Very little towards Hamas.

It is thought that Netanyahu is hoping to wait it out in the hope that Trump gets elected, as obviously Netanyahu will expect full support.

At the same time Trump has threatened to withdraw support from Ukraine, and reduce support for NATO.
