America is supporting Israel without any help from Trump.
I’m really hoping that Trump will not be elected. I think he is a dangerous man. If he withdraws support from Ukraine, well, it’s unthinkable.
Bereavement wipes out everything
No surprise there.
It has been obvious for months

Biden has been and is still supportive of iIsrael - but his support for Netanyahu has cooled considerably.
But not so Trump. His son in law has made numerous trips to meet Netanyahu, and it is thought that Netanyahu has promised him land in Gaza to build a coastal resort for wealthy Israelis.
That fits exactly with how Trump thinks.
I don’t think any of that is fact. Supposition and speculation at best.
What is not supposition is that Trump is likely to be dangerous to the world.
Eyes are on the regime in Israel atm particularly because we are waiting for a "Road Map" from Netanyahu as to what a resolution could be.
Ganz set today June 8th as a deadline for his party, currently part of the regime, to continue to support Netanyahu or not. Also there is whether the current cease fire proposal on the table is viable.
None of this suggest support for Hamas, it's just where the focus is on currently as the International Community and people within Israel wait for news on hostages and their own future.

Agree on Trump.
Ganz has resigned
Can't find it on the news yet.
(but I did notice that on June 2nd
"Two far-right Israeli ministers have threatened to quit and collapse the governing coalition if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agrees to a Gaza ceasefire proposal unveiled by US President Joe Biden on Friday." (I player). )
4 hostages have been rescued
Yes and thankfully all in good health.
Still no word about Ganz pulling out on the new, tho.
He will speak later today
For all the naysayers, the IDF have released four Israeli hostages after receiving intelligence weeks ago about their position. They were released in daylight, after a complex mission requiring weeks of planning, and under gunfire from Hamas. The Israelis absolutely want to find their countrymen, being kept as hostages, by a vile terrorist organisation. Well done to them.
Reported by SkyNews at 12.15.
Now another 120 hostages to be recovered.
Thanks Anniebach.
I'm sure Israeli intelligence services have info gathering/informants through the whole area.
Still hoping for a ceasefire deal that points towards quick release hostages not a long drawn out 6 month war.
"Gantz spelled out a six-point plan that includes the return of the hostages, ending Hamas' rule, demilitarising the Gaza Strip and establishing an international administration of civilian affairs. It also supports efforts to normalise relations with Saudi Arabia and widen military service to all Israelis.
''If you choose the path of fanatics and lead the entire nation to the abyss, we will be forced to quit the government,'' Gantz said"
His departure would leave Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu even more beholden to far-right allies who have taken a hard line on negotiations over a ceasefire and hostage release, and who believe Israel should occupy Gaza and rebuild Jewish settlements there.

Report may have been premature, but I definite heard it reported by bbc this morning.
Still 120 hostages to be freed
4 hostages freed at the cost of over 200 Palestinian lives. It isn't something to celebrate. Over 400 injured and some not even able to be reached. What a cost. Is this really anything to be approved of?
An emergency doctor on TV talking about the lack of medical equipment and care. He describes it as "barbarity"
It was always very clear that some people couldnt care less about the hostages.
www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-europe-69102543
The numbers of Palestinians killed or wounded have yet to be fact checked but it is clear there were very large numbers.
“The Hamas government media office say 210 people were killed in the strikes, while the Israeli defence ministry body in charge of civilian policy in the occupied West Bank and Gaza estimate there were under 100 casualties” (pictures)
We need a ceasefire plan to get the hostages back not a long process apparently without end or purpose: with many more ordinary Palestinian lives lost but need to know what the end plans are.
Still wondering what Ganz is up to - hopefully talks.

It was always very clear that some people couldnt care less about the hostages.
It isn't not caring to consider 200 lives too high a cost.
It is not caring to celebrate the return of 4 people and ignore the cost.
I cannot value the lives of ordinary Palestinians (not Hamas) as "lesser" or unimportant.
I am so genuinely glad the hostages have returned safe and well but don't see carrying on with current policy with so much what some see as mere "collateral" as the only way forward.
Yes there is a cost of taking hostages absolutely.

Yes there is a cost of taking hostages absolutely.
As hamas are finding out, and anyone who supports them.
This was an intelligence led mission and was very brave and dangerous for the Israeli forces who took part in the rescue. They were fired upon all the time, one soldier who took part and was wounded has now died.
Glorianny says it wasn’t worth it, just what I expected to hear.
Am so pleased for those victims of hamas that they are back in Israel with their families. They weren’t guests they were taken at gunpoint from the Nova Festival and held for 8 months, that’s 8 months of thinking each day may be your last and that your murdered body may never be even found.
The mother who gave thanks today, I shed a few tears, waiting
all those months not knowing if your child had been murdered
so still praying for their safe homecoming
lives too high a cost ? 1200 7th October 2023 ?
Well said Oreo.
The figures of dead are disputed. We don’t know how many people died. Most of the dead are most likely Hamas as they were engaged in battle with the IDF soldiers and as Oreo says, one IDF soldier was fatally wounded.
Any civilian deaths are the responsibility of Hamas. Hamas killed them. Hamas took hostages and held them for eight months, and they could have ended this on any one of those days, but they didn’t. They could end this tomorrow but they won’t. They could release the other 120 hostages but they won’t. The responsibility is solely the responsibility of Hamas. They care less for their own people than GNetters care for the ordinary Palestinians. It’s utterly shameful behaviour from Hamas.
Annie the mother of the girl is suffering from terminal cancer. All she wanted was to see her daughter before she dies. Now she will do that, thanks to the brave actions of the IDF soldiers.
Maddy thank you for telling me of the mother, I watched the
girl’s father greeting his daughter. So emotional, thank God the
mother can hold her daughter close again
