Hmm.
Standing as a Reform MP after all?
Emigrating to America to canvass for Trump?
Joining the Tory party?
None of the above?

I shall tune in out of curiosity.

Haha, I shall enjoy this. It’ll set the cat among the pigeons on Gransnet for sure. Tune in for some entertainment and fun grin

Interesting that all the Essex MPs are Tory and yet the south east was one of the smaller recipients of levelling up funds.

Surely the South East is not exactly in need of levelling up funding?

😀 nowhere - one trick ponies. Immigration, immigration, immigration.

Especially those with skin that isn’t white.

I really resent that remark. It is an important consideration WhiteWave I give you that, but there are others. Which is why I’m voting Reform UK.

Its nothing to do with left leaning , the man is a racist and a rabble rowser.

Why is he racist because he wants to stop the boats well so does Starmer and the EU.

He is racist because he is racist. Here are just a few examples from before the boats were even on the agenda,

I think you are being racist actually mentioning people's skin colour.

Vote for Reform, vote for Labour

Go for it!

Actually your remarks are racist and I've noticed you do that a lot to try and shut down debate. No one on here has mentioned people's skin colour only you, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Rockyroad In the “real world” he’s just as unpopular as he is on Gransnet.

My mother was as Tory as they come and she simply couldn’t stand Farage.

I can’t understand how anyone can find him charismatic. To me he has all the appeal of a particularly dodgy used car salesman.

JaneJudge Mon 03-Jun-24 18:27:18

there are lots of horrible posts on this tbh but it's what people like farage encourage, divide and rule

Casdon Mon 03-Jun-24 18:28:49

Some people seem to have a very tenuous grasp of what racism is.

Farage is right: we need a rebellion against the self righteous, smug establishment. He said Labour are going to win. Of course they are. But we need an opposition to hold their feet to the fire!

That won’t be Reform though.

All to play for Casdon! Look how well Reform have done on FB - apparently. I don’t use it but it has been reported so. There is a momentum gathering now that wants a good shake up of the Westminster bubble, SPADs, media luvvies.

Vote Reform.

Whats are their policies please?

Where do they stand on education, health, austerity ,climate change and so on please?

Google is your friend.

Google was my first attempt.

It mentions a Contract but no policies. I must be missing something really obvious.

Essex doesn't count as south east. It's in East of England. It's a big, densely populated county with pockets of deprivation, but most of it is quite wealthy with low unemployment.

How is WW's post racist?

Glorianny Mon 03-Jun-24 18:36:12

Let's face facts if he gets in he won't have to do anything if there is a Labour government. he'll just turn up take his MPs salary and do B.. all just like he did in the EU as an MEP. He's laughing all the way to the bank.

Wyllow3 Mon 03-Jun-24 18:37:31

How bizarre. Farage can announce he is standing as an MP and announce he is the leader of the Reform Party.

Where's the democratic process? Can you just announce you are a leader?

Very weird.

Where is Tice? And what are their policies? (Google hasn't been my friend either on that one Urms - surely you know what they are)

No horrible posts from me. Please note.

Glorianny Mon 03-Jun-24 18:38:48

Reform isn't a political party. It's a ;limited company and Farage is the major shareholder (Is there money in that as well??)

Wyllow3 Mon 03-Jun-24 18:40:16

Nail on head, Witzend. I've been trying to find a word/words that describe him for me.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 03-Jun-24 18:40:31

Regarding Farage’s racism.

I can give you page after page of his racist remarks that have been recorded.

If you would like to see it just put in a request😄

Whitewavemark2 Mon 03-Jun-24 18:43:21

Never the less I strongly urge all those thinking of voting Reform to not be deterred -

Vote Reform!!

Do you ever look at what’s happening in Europe?
Why are all these countries voting for what you refer to as far right policies
It’s not colour, it’s numbers.

Well he’s certainly set the cat among the pigeons on here alone!
90% of you don’t like him, won’t vote for him, think he’s a chancer. That’s fine. We can agree to disagree. However I think the election has just got a whole lot more interesting!

GrannyGravy13 Mon 03-Jun-24 18:50:55

I am probably in the minority on here, having met him when he used to frequent our friend’s pub.

In real life, he is charismatic, charming and an excellent conversationalist (didn’t talk about politics at all)

Totally get he is a marmite figure…
