Am watching and feel for everyone in the parade with all this b…..y rain … thought some of the carriages looked like big old prams of yester year🤔
Looking forward to seeing the whole family and Kate and children in a carriage

Do not many children of divorced parents spend time with one
parent and separate time with other parent ?

She needs money? Her reason for giving an interview with
a newspaper this year about her relationship with her ex husband.

NoraBone Sun 16-Jun-24 15:49:32

Years (YEARS) ago I was listening to a radio competition and the broadcaster was questioning a competitor about her line of work. She made brides veils and had worked on Sarah Fergusons; when questioned a little more she said she hadn't been paid for it, and her family had gone through some hardships over the loss of earnings. She was quite tearful in talking, and it really hit home for me. The mock Tudor house, the early extravagances, the selling of introductions to Prince Andrew, playing off her Royal connections to the diet franchise etc - nope, she's not for me.

She had debts and needed money. I have never heard of her speaking ill of the RF despite Prince Philip’s treatment of her, and the King has welcomed her back into the fold now that his parents have died. That speaks volumes.

I just composed a post saying just what you said GSM - and then saw your post.

Much simpler just to agree wholeheartedly with you.

👍🏻

Fergie didn’t appear with the family until after the Queens death

Is she paying rent on Royal Lodge so gave an interview with a
newspaper this year

Norah Sun 16-Jun-24 16:33:44

Oh dear.

Fergie wasn't on the balcony yesterday - why is she being bashed? She appears to be a good mum, a support to her ex and the late Queen.

Germanshepherdsmum Sun 16-Jun-24 16:38:21

I expect the late Queen was, in public, respectful of her husband’s opinion. He wore the trousers at home I believe.

Who knows who is paying the rent? It’s a private matter.

So long as she doesn’t resort to trashing the family as Harry has, and if she was going to do that think she’d have done so long ago, if she needs to earn money why should she not give an interview? I have a lot of respect for her. It’s clear that you don’t, Annie. She’s made mistakes, but who hasn’t?

Germanshepherdsmum Sun 16-Jun-24 16:38:50

I couldn’t agree more, Norah.

Jaberwok Sun 16-Jun-24 16:55:03

Sarah is a divorced woman, she can give interviews where and how she chooses. Surely whoever paid for Sarah's wedding attire were responsible for paying for accessories? I don't imagine the young people paid for themselves particularly a royal wedding. I admire Sarah, she's a tough lady and as I said, in her latest battle, I wish her well.

PiscesLady Sun 16-Jun-24 16:58:10

Watched it and loved it as always. This post is also a 'bump' re a spam post that I have reported.

Germanshepherdsmum Sun 16-Jun-24 17:01:46

She has had a difficult time with breast cancer recently. I too wish her well. She strikes me as the sort of person you could rely on in a crisis. A loyal person who is still being punished for mistakes in the past.

Jaberwok Sun 16-Jun-24 17:28:09

Also melanoma G.s.m, so two different cancers virtually at the, same time! Very unpleasant. My much loved cousin died of melanoma, some time ago now (2005). I know treatments have improved greatly, but even so it is a nasty condition to be afflicted with. I agree, I think Sarah is basically a good egg.

Anniebach Sun 16-Jun-24 17:28:35

We see things differently, have different values, she is free to
give interviews and does so,

June this year on This Morning, she is so proud of the king and so proud of Princess Catherine .

M0nica Sun 16-Jun-24 18:36:58

But, as we said, Anniebach she has her living to earn and she will get paid for these interviews.

Anniebach Sun 16-Jun-24 18:50:19

Yes, so she makes money speaking of her ex in-laws

Calendargirl Sun 16-Jun-24 18:53:54

But she isn’t trashing them.

Of course not.

She is a member of the family but not a working Royal.

Indeed.

To that I ask why is she being bashed?

Callistemon21 Sun 16-Jun-24 20:45:06

She's not being bashed.
Working Royals were on the balcony.

Anniebach Sun 16-Jun-24 20:49:05

Following the divorce she was allowed to keep the title ‘Duchess of York ‘ but not HRH,

Norah Sun 16-Jun-24 20:50:44

Bashed by posters, here.

Not bashed by anyone apart from here, as far as I can discern.

Germanshepherdsmum Sun 16-Jun-24 20:51:03

You are very bitter about her Annie. She has more than paid the price for the mistake which led to her divorce. Her husband has forgiven her, as has the King. What gives you the right to sit in judgement?

Anniebach Sun 16-Jun-24 21:08:34

GSM I am giving my opinion on a woman who sells stories
about her husband family,if you think this is bitter start a thread on Burrell who sells stories of former employers , yuck

For me selling stories a betrayal, I accept you don’t agree

Germanshepherdsmum Sun 16-Jun-24 21:10:36

Who has she sold stories about?

Anniebach Sun 16-Jun-24 21:13:55

The Queen, Andrew, Harry, Megan, Catherine, The King ,
Courtiers .
