Yes, Initial reports said 5 loud popping sounds, (been following I player feed) type of gun now possibly ID'd but if 2 dead yes - must have been a gun.

They are saying the shooter was outside of the security area which means it must've been a long gun rifle. A Sniper.

Someone on news said they saw a person with a gun climb onto a roof. Apparently 6 or 7 shots fired. Latest is 2 dead including the shooter. Think there were others injured too.
I hope he recovers well as he's in his 70s so quite a shock at that age. Not a fan of him personally but nobody deserves this.
