Get regular emails from our MP. He didnt see Trump, but presumably is en route back to the UK.
“We are killing like we haven’t killed since 1967”
Are you irritating in RL? (light hearted)
Recalled for a further appointment after a routine mammogram
You know. the Clacton MP who should be showing up for the job he is paid to do.
In the USA apparently paying court to King Trump.
Clacton were sold a pup weren’t they?

correction - Farage no "he"
Regular emails from your MP?
Wow, I’m impressed.
I don’t. Never have had.
Our MP keeps us informed as to what she’s doing on her Facebook page. She feels she’s taking us on a journey with her. Currently sorting out details for her constituency headquarters ( we haven’t had a Labour MP for a long time) which she wants to be welcoming to everyone, especially those with special needs. She’s already had one public meeting and is often seen out and about supporting local businesses and charities.
Nanna8 a grudging respect for a misogamist and racist!!!

People in the L Party get emails automatically and any constituent can get them on request to be added to mailing list.
In addition, she has a Facebook page - two hours ago she posted this
"If you need help and support with your benefits, housing or debt then (local area reference) shops is open every Thursday from 10am.
Pop in, see a friendly face and get the help and support you need."

Stop trying to shame people because they have a different view from you.

Your MP didn't see Trump? Did he go to the USA as well?
Or is he reporting on what Farage is doing? If so that is weird.
Check on my correction above.
So your MP is reporting to you on what Farage is doing? As I said, that is weird. Your MP should be getting on with their own business and reporting on that.
Read it again Chestnut. It’s clear that ‘he’ is Farage in the second sentence?
I think most of us do follow our own MPs on Facebook or Instagram, as it’s the best way of keeping track of what they do for our local communities. It’s actually also hard to avoid Farage, because he is over social media like a rash, that being his preferred form of communication.
Our new Labour MP updates on what she’s doing via Facebook. Party members also get regular emails
And - she’s lived in this constituency 8 years so knows the area and its needs
Wow, I’m impressed. No wonder some posters on GN are so interested and invested in politics. I often comment but I’m not a member of any political party and I never will be. I follow politics but I’m not that invested in it. I don’t follow any MP on Facebook. I only follow my own friends and family and the local page which is helpful about local events. I was glad that my last MP lost her seat because she never answered emails although I confess I only ever sent her two, and my husband sent one. They all went unanswered. We now, thanks to boundary changes, find ourselves in Suella Braverman’s constituency. I doubt I’ll be writing to her. It’s rumoured she’ll defect to Reform. I certainly didn’t vote for Reform and don’t want to be represented by a Reform MP. If that was what I wanted, I’d have voted Reform, but I didn’t.

Yes, I got that but it still implies that her MP is reporting to his constituents on what Farage is doing. Unless it is a very badly worded post.

Chestnut, she had just omitted to tag your post, which she was replying to, it’s directly above hers. Wyllow’s first sentence is a response to your question about how she knows what her MP is doing, her second a response to your question about Farage. I think most posters would have realised what she meant, it never occurred to me that she’d implied her MP was following Farage and telling the constituents about him.
Farage has been showing his racist credentials on Twitter - calling Harris a Black African.
I noticed Farage had commentated

Don’t the Americans who are black identify as African Americans?
Correct me if I’m wrong.
She is as African as he is Hugeunot, many generations back.

I wouldn’t want emails from my or any MP tbh😄
I’m not a Party member in any case, and if I need to talk to an MP I would contact them, otherwise I assume they’re getting on with their job.Am interested in politics but not obsessed.
My last Tory MP (now gone) would send regular e-newsletters saying what he'd been doing. These included photos, details of speeches in the HoC etc. Also details of his expenses which were zero for travel and food since 2010, and over £800k unspent on office and staff since 2010. I'm not a party member or anything, just interested in what he was doing.

Harris is no more a black African than I’m a Viking - despite my height and DNA
He’s a racist bigot. Her father is of African Jamaican heritage, like many people with slave ancestory. Her mother Tamil Indian heritage.
Oh for goodness sake, a racist bigot because someone doesn't know the convoluted details of someone else's heritage.
But he said Black African, not Black American as if she is a foreigner and not US citizen.
