Casdon
I believe it seems unpleasant to you because you don’t agree with what people say, rather than because it actually is hateful Chestnut. You have to accept that many people dislike his views and just as you called Angela Rayner ‘uncouth and hobby’ you will hear things about Farage that you don’t agree with.
That's it, in a nutshell.
As for me, I don't post personal comments about an individual politician's appearance because I think that's below the belt - however much I might dislike them.
... and, it is dislike - not hatred, the two are quite different.
I would like to see both Trump and Farage disappear from the political scene, just quietly retire into the background. I didn't rejoice when Farage was injured in that light aircraft crash, nor when Trump was hit by the would-be assassin's bullet. That would be hatred.
But I loathe what they stand for. As they are both at the moment very much in the public eye via the media, what they say (and do) is as far as I am concerned up for discussion, and opposition. Or perhaps they should be free to say and do whatever they wish and we critics remain silent?
As a woman, I am going to challenge both of these men.
Trump took the credit for overturning Roe v Wade. "For 54 years they were trying to get Roe v. Wade terminated, and I did it. And I'm proud to have done it.". The reality is of course that the Supreme Court made the actual decision - Trump appointed the justices who made that decision.
Farage has championed the self-proclaimed misogynist, Andrew Tate, as a role model for young men.
I believe both of these men, Trump and Farage, are a danger to the hard-fought-for rights of women. In fact, I believe they both hold women - especially those with an opinion - in low esteem.
So I shall continue to comment.
