Riots in Southport

What the people do not seem to realise isthat Rwanda is a CHRISTIAN country. Over 90% of the population are christians of one flavour or another and only 2% are Muslim.

I understand that the attackers family came to Britian fleeing the Rwandan massacres, so they are unlikely to be Muslims.

It just shows how mindless and stupid these anti-Islamic protestors are. But there was deliberate misinformation being circulated on the internet saying the attacker was an arab boat immigrant, despite police saying from the start that the assailant was from Rwanda.

Reading all this thread just now has been very reassuring. So many sensible, grounded comments and support for the police and emergency services

The EDL are thugs. A poster early on this thread described them as thick as mince. They shout things like English till I die as they hurl wheelie bins, tear down garden walls so they can throw bricks at police officers and dogs. Disgusting people - I wonder about their IQ level

The more I think about this incident, the more I think it doesn't have much to do with the identity of the murderer. The EDL attacked a mosque because they knew the police would turn up and they then had an opportunity to attack the police - all directed by Tommy Robinson from Spain.

Why is he in Spain and not in prison?
He's an anarchist and incites riots.

Because he skipped bail. He was due in court on Monday/Tuesday (not sure which) and decided not to turn up. It doesn't say much about the communications between the police and passport control.

Disgusting behaviour by thugs last night in Southport.

Our Emergency Services one day dealing with a horrific attack on children the next being under attack by Neanderthals!

I hope that whoever released the photo of the suspected child killer on social media at the point of his arrest will be cautioned/charged as some of the blame is surely their’s.

I was not talking about naming the kid, for goodness sake. No civilised country would do that. Just background info so they don’t make stuff up to suit their disgusting agendas!

Growstuff thank you for pointing out the foolishness in my post. Perhaps in my anger I was wishing for a different decade when these tragedies were uncommon. Foreign or not, mental illness will affect anyone. My post was hasty and ignorant. Thank you for helping me see this.

Why does the public need to know?

Because that might prevent these rumours and therefore these indiscriminate riots, aimed at the wrong targets.

16 is seemingly being considered as old enough to vote.

Old enough to carry out seemingly premeditated murders of small children, old enough to be named.

Maybe people should have learnt by now not to listen to unsubstantiated rumours. Maybe the law about disclosing identities of minors should be changed, but in this case the law is being followed. I really don't see that it's in the public interest to know.
