Huw Edwards arrives at court this morning

His employer BBC are not good judges of character.
Surely someone suspected, after all he's been described as Creepy enough times on here.

I am no defender of the BBC, but predators are very good at hiding wh they are.

By the nature of this type of offence, people conceal. I would lay a pound to a penny that there are more high profile men who we don’t have any suspicions about doing the same. It’s really sickening.

I'm sure they are Galaxy but surely more reason to select people who are 100% squeaky clean. Ie no rumours which haven't been thoroughly investigated.

We used to interview people to work with vulnerable adults. The police checks included not just convictions but also any reports or hearsay.

I was abused but my biological father, people still tell me how great he was/is. He’s also painted a picture of me ongoing from our estrangement or maybe even before of how unstable I am. Thank god I could afford therapy otherwise I would have believed it

Why don't they think of the bigger picture, of the dreadful consequences of their perversion on the children who were abused so these terrible pictures can be taken to begin with.

Do they really think they're not as bad as the ones abusing these children, because they only look at the pictures and don't actually touch them themselves?

I’ve always believed sentencing for sex offenders, especially peadophiles doesn’t address the significant issues raised. A suspended sentence is worthless. I’d prefer a community order with challenging work on the offending behaviour. Sadly it’s one or the other, I’d prefer combined so if the offender doesn’t co-operate hmp follows

Some of these offences are category A. It doesn’t matter how many there are. Children have suffered.

I'm so sorry Jane . My father was abusive but it never turned into that fortunately. Although it was a near thing when I was a teenager.

Thats bad Janejudge they are often seen as goodies by the outside world like good old Huw I spent 10 years working with abuse and it s devastating and it is often, the liked, the admired, or the ‘looked up to’.

I must be so trusting, never would i have thought he would do that, his vile actions, little children violated and damaged for life, , he would be on his own its unforgivable.

Is anyone else suspicious about Edwards pay rise. In late 2023, the BBC were warned that he would be facing serious charges. This was reported today by the same BBC. He was suspended 5 months ago on full pay yet recently it was announced that he would receive a 40000 pounds pay rise even though there was little chance of him actually to be able to physically “earn” this money. A matter of a few weeks after the pay rise started to be paid, he resigned while still eligible for an enhanced lump sum and pension payments associated with the increased salary. There is a distinct odour of rodent here!!

It's so easy when it's public money, isn't it!

Is there evidence that he bought online images of children being abused by third parties, so to speak? I thought he made contact with teenagers and asked them to photograph themselves? I think I’ve missed something
