I’m obviously delighted those rioters have been identified and hauled before the courts. However I’ve just read an article in today’s Telegraph which raises concerns about 2tK.

I will look it up now, highlight the couple of paragraphs (fact based) and paste them on here Whitewave.

I’d be interested to hear your take on this aspect of policing.

There was talk of a 'riot' happening in Glasgow. Glasgow is multi cultural with many different nationalities and races coexisting fairly happily. Last year there was a stand off between locals and immigration officers who tried to take folk away. They didn't succeed. I don't think the so called rioters thought that one through! I really hope the message has got through that if you break the law, you will be dealt with.

Language like that is bound to undermine faith in the way this unrest is being handled. And if Sir Keir fails to convince the public that it isn’t “two-tier”, we’ll be in even graver trouble than we are now.“

However much Farage, Musk and his other cronies try to stir the conspiracy theory that white working class men are treated worse than minorities in the U.K.

They are no friends of the U.K.

People have been warned by the intelligence services that conspiracy theories like these are spread in order to bring instability snd disorder.

Our police whilst not perfect, have behaved exemplarily over the past week or so snd indeed generally in most of the difficult situations they find themselves in.

This mention of sharia law is alarmist and quite frankly fuels the kind of unrest we have seen on our streets.
NO part of the UK operates outside our law system. The police always take on board what community leaders or communities in general have to say but they act in response to any given threat according to how they have been trained.

Stamford Hill in North London has an organisation called Shomrim, which is a neighbourhood watch for the primarily Haredi community. It works very closely with the Met.

The article growstuff. I just don’t like this approach of one rule for some and a different rule for others. It needs to be equally robust across ALL sections of society. Even Elon Musk is calling Starmer 2tK now.

I suspect it is the same in close-knit communities, where younger people listen to their parents and grandparents. It was certainly the case when I was a child, although not so much now.

Exactly! Sharia Law has no legal standing in the UK.

Don’t worry that Police talking with ‘community leaders’ Will lead to Sharia law. That kind of unnecessary fear fuels the kind of unrest we’ve seen,
Immigrant communities have always tended to live in areas close to others from their country of origin. Angel Meadow in Manchester was home to Irish as well as Jewish communities in the 19th century. Community leaders are usually linked to religion - it can be argued white British people don’t do religion so much these days, in addition we are the majority.

In our town, community leaders worked to prevent young men wanting a fight with the EDL, to avoid putting more pressure on police.

Amazing isn’t it.

This thread is good news about the fact that the authorities are beginning to think that the tide has turned snd that the thugs destruction to our communities and and lives has been thwarted.

How on earth do we get almost immediately to a place of hate one again, by this entirely false conspiracy theory pushed out by the likes of Farage and Musk that has zero basis in truth snd should never be given the time of day.

This spread of misinformation must stop. That way lies madness, hate snd violence.

After seeing our police being hammered by fence posts, bricks attacked by violent and dangerous criminals out to do as much damage as possible.

From the safety of your home remember these very same police are still going out into the streets to help keep you safe.

I find that comment dangerous and offensive to these guys who are still recovering from the past few nights with possibly more violence to come.

Community leaders will mean heads of churches, mosques, gurdwara, temples, synagogue, meeting rooms plus mayors, elected councillors, parish councillors. Anyone who has influence to bring calm. This is how it worked in my multi cultural town.

I’m really confused by the sharia law comments. Are there photos of people with knives?
