Today is the day Huw Edwards will learn his fate.

It’s an interesting one, in our local newspaper men have received fines and community orders for similar offences.

I wonder if they will make an example of Huw, I cannot imagine he would have an easy time in prison and although people would argue he didn’t physically abuse any children the distribution of these images in itself is abuse.

I really couldn’t call this one.

Owen Jones has nothing to do with the DM, fancythat. Far from it. He is a self-styled spokesman for the left, misogynist and smug know-all. Sorry if I’ve missed the point and you are aware of that grin

No, sorry, it was me that wasnt very clear.
I didnt think he was part of the DM.

Well he says he's a spokesman for the left, but....that doesn't make him one!

"For clarity, the Huw Edwards sentence cannot be reviewed under the Unduly Lenient Sentencing Scheme as it's only applicable for certain Crown Court sentences. I have lobbied for years to make it more accessible," Ms Waxman said on X.

I believe his case was heard in a Magistrates' court.
I wonder who arranged that?

That's why I said 'self-styled spokesman'.

If you are implying what I think you are, you are dangerously close to libel with your last sentence eazybee.

This case started in the mags court. The Magistrate considered the case and concluded it didn’t need to be transferred to the county court because the mags had appropriate sentencing powers
