In two days time it will be the anniversary of the Israeli massacre where around 1200 people were murdered and around 300 people were taken hostage.
Today there is a big pro Palestine march him London. Would it have been more respectful and appropriate to have waited till next week or later in the month for this march to take place, especially since the first bombing of Gaza started on 13/10/23 and Israeli troops first entered Gaza on 27/10/23.

I find the word re education terrifying Kalm, it has continually been used by groups driven by their own sense of self righteousness to threaten people. So no thanks. I find many aspects of the pro Palestine matches racist so I will repeat if they are allowed then the likes of Tommy Robinson etc must also be allowed.

This, absolutely.

Allowed to march, yes, but not to incite hatred.

U.K. a major player in just 3 months, why ?

ronib Wed 16-Oct-24 09:11:15

Grany Israel must be paying for Uk weapons and aeroplanes plus spy planes. Unfortunately there are huge profits for the arms industry. Starmer needs those sales I imagine.
I didn’t enjoy tv coverage of the Biafran war when growing up. It horrified me as does this present war.

Grany

Britain does need to stop sending arms as they know Isreal is using them to comit genocide. Where does abiding by international law come in for Britain There is torture and rape used against Palestinian prisoners seen in IDF film.

There shoukd be a de escalation

Why shoud Isreal be free to continue killing and taking more lands.

Shame on Britain

I think I've said all I wanted to say on this subject.

I hope you have sent this message to Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas…

For clarification U.K. does not send arms, it sends components for aircraft guidance systems which make up approximately 3% of all armaments imports into Israel.

The only thing I agree with you on is your last sentence.Your totally one sided accounts on this subject are horrifying.

I too agree Maddy. and Galaxy, re educating is terrifying

maddyfour Wed 16-Oct-24 11:53:18

I agree with you Oreo.
Maybe Grany didn’t watch the BBC documentary which showed the hunting down and killing of innocent young civilians at a festival in Israel, or the Channel 4 documentary which showed the massacre of civilians in their homes in a kibbutz which has been in the same position since 1968, so no land grab!
Perhaps she could watch those two documentaries and then comment.

What I saw on the documentary last night shows huge suffering by the Gazans which is not nice to watch. War brings suffering and Hamas would have done well to consider this before they joyfully killed and tortured those innocent civilians in Israel, but of course, Hamas, Hezbollah, the the Houthis don’t care one jot for the suffering of their own people, anymore than they cared about the suffering Israelis as they celebrated raping, burning, and murdering them.

The young female hostage’s body driven around Gaza with crowds cheering .

The infants in Israel taken from their cribs 7th October 2023 and sexually abused and killed

AGAA4 Wed 16-Oct-24 12:08:31

My conscience won't allow me to support any of these groups engaged in killing and more killing and that includes the IDF.
The only people deserving of support are all the innocents caught up in this conflict.

Anniebach Wed 16-Oct-24 12:12:45

IDF is not a group it’s the national military of Israel

It's a killing machine.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 16-Oct-24 13:57:44

Grany are you saying that the worldwide journalists who came out after viewing footage of the October massacre are lying?

I find it unbelievable and appalling that you have been totally sucked in by Hamas propaganda.

Wyllow3 Wed 16-Oct-24 14:15:27

I think its as important to view the programme on the sufferings in Gaza as it is to know what happened on October 7th. Those voices need to be heard, as it has been very hard for journalists to report on events.

Oreo Wed 16-Oct-24 14:18:34

Grany you are repeating hamas lies on this forum as there were many rapes at the music festival and many babies murdered in their cots at the kibbutzim. All recorded on captured hamas own bodycam and from the houses.

It’s the Israeli army.
Presumably you would call our own army a killing machine in times of war.

Most of which Hamas themselves posted on the internet.

I am not denying that there is suffering in Gaza.

I am questioning Granys bias and Hamas lies regarding the massacre.

AGAA4 Wed 16-Oct-24 14:29:11

Oreo I would hope that the British Army would not kill indiscriminately.
The IDF have killed thousands to get to Hamas. Most were innocent victims.
As I have said I can't condone the actions of any in this conflict. I will not support any of them.

Oreo Wed 16-Oct-24 14:39:51

We don’t know what our own army may do in a similar situation and mistakes happen in any war, including ‘ collateral damage’ and friendly fire.
You or I don’t have to support or condone but must realise that no country would accept the actions carried out by thousands of murdering thugs on innocent families. Hamas brought all the misery down on Gazan heads and didn’t care. They only care about themselves.

Anniebach Wed 16-Oct-24 14:40:08

Support or not, they are an army not a group , do you call the British Army a group ?
