He has said that the protection of female sport is vital and on his agenda if he is elected President of the Olympic Committee

I wasn't his biggest fan because I loved Steve Ovett, but I have to admit I admire Sebastian Cole for nailing his colours to the fairness for women mast. He's shown more integrity and bravery than so many who are perfectly willing to sacrifice women's sport to male inclusion. There is an agenda to prevent his election as President of the Olympic Committee, they'd prefer an ignoramus like the present one who says the identifier for age and sex in your passport is all. That you can change the sex identifier in your passport from M to F without so much as a smidgeon of evidence..........

That’s good to know Mollygo. I hadn’t heard anything about that until I read your post, so thank you.

Absolutely ridiculous that men can compete against women, I mean what planet are these people on? Good for him if he can stamp it out- if these sex change people want to play sport, they should play against someone else that has had a sex change- Sharon Davis says it’s all wrong in sport today. I have absolutely nothing against these people- they can be whatever they want to be. I don’t care, it doesn’t affect my life, or emotions, until I see women getting punched in the face/its not on at all.

* Mt61* celebrating men punching women and it becoming an Olympic medal winning sport was a wake up call for so many.

It was on the news tonight. That’s the first I knew.

Good for him. I can’t see how any elite sportsman could take pride in winning a medal because of his physiology giving him an inbuilt advantage. It’s obviously about the prize money for those who do.

Galaxy Thu 14-Nov-24 06:00:09

He used to have a different view but has changed his mind. I hope he becomes President. However my view of the Olympics is forever tainted by their behaviour.

NanKate Thu 14-Nov-24 07:44:42

I am keeping my fingers crossed he is elected, however I am worried that he will be excluded because he has said up front he would protect women’s sport and we all know how the woke brigade (I don’t know what else to call them) will be up in arms and try and bar him.

rubysong Thu 14-Nov-24 09:03:39

Good for him. I hope he is elected.
Aside from that I do think he is looking quite attractive now he is more mature. Anyone agree?

theworriedwell Thu 14-Nov-24 09:29:26

Well we can all relax now the big strong man is going to sort it all out for us.

Galaxy Thu 14-Nov-24 09:31:26

Actually women have fought long and hard for this, lost careers, been harassed, threatened, etc. The brave ones have been fighting for a decade. I could not admire them more.

Wheniwasyourage Thu 14-Nov-24 09:31:49

If we don’t have men on our side over women’s rights it will be a much harder struggle. They are nearly 50% of the population, after all.

Wheniwasyourage Thu 14-Nov-24 09:32:43

That was a reply totheworriedwell

Yes. Absolutely disgraceful. Even Caitlyn
Jenner, who I absolutely love, she speaks so much sense said it’s wrong.

Galaxy Thu 14-Nov-24 09:35:38

There have been a few brave men who have been there from the start, Coe was not one of them but I dont think it does anyone any good to get into a purity loop on this.

No, I think they are trying to prove a point!

He spoke a lot of common sense on BBC News last night. He is very concerned that if the rules are not altered to treat all athletes fairly at their own levels and genders that women's' competitive sport will all but disappear. I hope Coe is elected but what's the betting that someone who appeases the woke and diversity brigade will get the job.

I blinking hope not.
Trump said he will stamp it out for sure.

Absolutely 💯

My husband thinks it’s disgraceful, he can’t understand woman, like KH supporting it.

Being on our side isn't the same as being the Great White Saviour.

Galaxy Thu 14-Nov-24 11:07:54

To be fair I would rather that than the great whatever colour misogynist, thinking of Owen Jones, Alistair Campbell, I could go on.

Glad he has spoken out in support of women's sport_at last_! Took him long enough.
