Years ago when I worked with ex-offenders and helped with their rehabilitation in the community the sex offenders were (almost) universally kind, thoughtful and helpful. They tended to have great social skills.

They will undoubtedly appear to be good neighbours and co-workers. They will be the sort of people you will go to in an emergency. I honestly don't think you can tell who the sex offenders actually are.
Unfortunately, as Iam says: ^Unfortunately, sex offenders look just like the rest of us.

Exactly this NotSpag. Pelicot's family and friends thought he was the perfect husband and father. Thereby lies the danger, one simply can't be sure.

One of the issues this case raises for me is the widely held belief that the mother must have known her husband/partner was sexually abusing their children. Not so

It's the old Customs Officer line isn't it -

of course the children are HURT..psychologically and emotionally for the rest of their lives... words fail me with disgust😲

Absolutely Bea, and I understand that this vile man took photographs of his daughter and daughters in law - and these were not happy pictures of them at a birthday lunch .
