A lawyer speaking on the radio this morning said that it is entirely wrong to speak of Pakistani Rape Gangs.

The term is paedophile ring ,which encompasses all the potential groups who are intent on harm and not confining it to a certain group, because distinguishing a certain group in such terms muddles the waters for the victims.

Yes and this is the cause of the problem.

Nobody dare say, Pakistani, Muslim etc etc.

Why can we not face the issue that we have a section of the population who have treated our own children like second class citizens, they have raped and murdered young girls, threatened their families and described them as white slags.

I have first hand experience of this in a Lancashire mill town.
It took letters to our MP and chief of Police to get an investigation…. guess what not enough evidence!

This will not be buried and we must be able to speak of the ethnicity of these disgusting individuals.

Like Musk as much as Trump! However, glad this subject been put in the spotlight, we don't need another enquiry, of over 20 recommendations of. the last enquiry only five recommendations implemented. Where is the justice for these groomed children, these gangs are in every town and groomed girls passed round, it is still rife. These men should be rounded up and sent to an island in the middle of nowhere and left there, we shouldn't have to pay for their board and lodgings if sent to prison. I believe they are not fit to live. .This country is so frightened of being accused of racism that we are letting this continue, its an abomination. These girls are damaged, from dysfunctional homes or care homes, drawn in by a younger member who the girl thinks cares for them, then plied with drink and drugs before abused by vile older men. No one denies that abuse happens in all walks of life but these are organised gangs. Do these poor girls just not matter, so glad Musk raised the matter because nothings been done here.

We MUST focus on the victims and their issues. They are at risk from so many quarters in society.

They must understand that the risk is not just from people with brown faces, but people with clerical collars or people with white faces (most likely) offering a good time, drink and drugs etc. or even the odd MP or teacher!

As an aside, I don’t think the Pakistani community as a whole will have been aware of these atrocities. Let’s face it, these taxi drivers, kebab shop owners/workers are not likely to have gone home to their womenfolk and said “oh listen what we got up to last night” are they? Sago is right. Labour seem to want to disregard cultural differences for political purposes. But I rather think their troubles are only just starting with the poor Economic outlook for the UK and a probably faintly hostile POTUS. This attack is only the first of many that will come this year.

He’s a meddler, listening to his father speak on TV yesterday I can see where it comes from, a vile, far right man, highly opinionated and extremely racist.

This country needs to deal with ALL perpetrators white, brown or black I worked for 10 years with abuse survivors and none were abused by Muslims or any race other than white Caucasians, of course a lot depends on the demographics of the area.
I dealt with people abused by fathers, stepfathers, uncles, teachers (this was a ring) youth leaders, church officials and church goers never once a person other than white
A lot of very well thought of people many whose criminal behaviour CPS chose to ignore
I remember going to high court with one mum who started proceedings when her child became the age she was when she was regularly abused It was a jury we were hopeful they would see her ruined life, but they found a non guilty verdict because the woman could not remember the dates the abuse happened (30 years previous ) she knew it happened every time herMum went to her night job but not exact dates

ALL prosecutions are very overdue no matter whatever race religion or persuasion the abuser comes from

Sago is not right. To the contrary, people who have examined the evidence and know that rapists are predominantly white men, and grooming is predominantly done by white men. It’s unsurprising, 80% of the UK population is white. Just read the evidence I posted above from Sky News, which is certainly not a tool of Labour. It’s time people got real.

I’m certainly not defending the Pakistani grooming gangs. What I’m saying is that the obsession (not by you) of some with ignoring the majority white men in pursuit of the minority Pakistani men is unjustified and racist. What would be the point of any inquiry if it only looked at 20% of the problem?

I think you will find that those talking about it in the public eye (if you ignore Musk, etc for a moment) tend to be feminists with extensive experience in discussing violence against women and children

There is a specific problem within the context of a much wider problem. Do you actually think that the specific problem should be tackled in an inquiry in isolation of the wider issues, and what do you think that would achieve Galaxy?

All areas of sexual abuse continue so we shouldn't be surprised that grooming continues as stated above.
What is different now is that I don't think there are any evidence of ""cover ups" because of race, but I think Musk and friends are perpetrating the ideas that there are.

Really, until the late 90's evil sexual crimes from all sections of society often remained unpunished either because the police would not take them up, the burden or proof and the ignorance of how to proceed or down playing the importance of these crimes winning out and the view of male policemen on women

(or in the case of the rich, it was covered up. Look at the lifelong cover up of Cyril Smith's activities or the cover ups in the C of E - Cyril Smith was actually protected under the Official Secrets Act)

Posters are talking dramatically as Musk does about "the truth coming out" and justice because of cover ups,

but what do they think an inquiry would actually find out

I think there are some who believe that an inquiry will somehow reveal some major "Baddies" to prosecute,

but that the reality is far more likely to be - after questioning hundreds of police, social workers, local councillors and more, there will be a mish mash of an original lack of any decent structures or experience in dealing with gangs like this,

a failure to believe victims for non political reasons, the difficulty of "proof", the incredible person-power time to investigate and evidence gather,

the lack back then of proper CPS procedures until introduced,

and those all mixed in with reluctance and slowness for political reasons by possibly many individuals in small ways - slowing matters down, some words in ears, possibly some threats?

This will take hours of time away from work in the present, and I might be entirely wrong, but I dont see it will produce criminal prosecutions?
