He’s been ill very recently which I’m sure shows on his face, he looked tired.

Not everyone who closes their eyes during a service (or while concentrating ie. thinking) is sleeping. If they nod off, well then that is sleep but holding very still with your eyes closed and neck upright is not necessarily sleeping.

Watching footage from Greenland yesterday. A pristine, beautiful country, with a peaceful population.

Trump needs to wind his neck in. Greenland is a sovereign state. He may fancy himself as another Putin who can walk into another country that he thinks should be part of and benefit to his jurisdiction, but he needs to be told no by all USA allies.

It's a bit more complicated, as Greenland is not totally independent, Denmark is responsible for its currency and its defence/security foreign policy. Some Greenlanders want independence from Denmark

No, I don't think he's dementing. He did win comfortably and like him or loathe him he seems to have a lot of energy for a 77 year old.
He is definitely his own persona and doesn't rely on scripts when talking at length.
He is indeed a showman and unless he's assassinated think he'll last a while yet.

Unfortunately, I do not think any country, and certainly not the USA has ever legistrated for the contingency that a president might become mentally unfit for the job.

So whether or not Trump is fit for it, unless he dies in office the world will probably have to put up with him for the next four years.

It wouldn't surprise me to find he had a pesonality disorder, but I see no reason to think he might have dementia.

Trump won because in American politics money talks. Musk got him there and was the reason he has become President.

Musk will just take his money elsewhere because that's what he does, and the administration will flounder like it did before, with swapping and changing whoever is Trump's favourite at the time. They are all the make for themselves and don't care about the deluded people who voted for them.

I don't know how long he will last but I have a shred of confidence in the democratic system. Trump knows he's on a shorter thread following his indictments and what happened following the storming of the capitol.

Trump is a media man- a lot of what he says he knows is nonsense but he says it anyway because he knows it sells news.This is what he understands and it plays into people's fears. When you make people afraid you can use that fear and he sure knows how to do this.

I don't know if he'll stay in power or not. There's something in me that hopes he will, because if he dies we will only have more and more of the conspiracy theories that his voters love. Rather he sits out the term and the people of the US may or may not realise what they created has ultimately destroyed them. Let's wait and see...
