My suspicion at this point is that Trump will last the four years, but at the end of the day, who knows? Nobody’s got a crystal ball have they? So we’ll just have to wait and see.
It’s been a while so I will start us off…….whats for supper and why?

He's 79 in June and his increasingly bizarre pronouncements, erratic behaviour on the campaign trail and reports that he temporarily fell asleep (?) during Jimmy Carter's funeral leads me to wonder if his confusion is a pointer to dementia.
Exactly the reason he has openly declared President Biden to be unfit for office.
So maybe it's as well he has Musk to make his decisions for him.

May be he will gain sympathy by rubbing tomato ketchup in the other ear.
We should not wish for Trumps demise, it would mean Vance takes over, what I’ve heard about Vance does not make me optimistic.
The issue is not if Trump will last 4 years - what is going to happen with this new radical way of thinking?
Trump only opened the door - many held it open for him
What david49 said - exactly!

We should have regard for our own mortality, my brother 4 yrs younger, had a mini stroke at Christmas.
He’s more or less OK, a bit too close to home for comfort
My DH is the same age as Trump. He says he is going to keep going for 4 years as he wants to see what happens next, is Trump going to just stay on so noone needs to vote again?
My father lived to be 92 and died after a short illness. He was still active and on the committee of three local organisations, and during his final illness were issuing bulletins, as if he was royalty, because so many people were enquiring after his health, probably because once he died they were going to have find someone else to do all the organising he did.
So at 78 Trump will not inevitably be senile and unable to do the job of President at 82, or even have any signs of mental decline. It just that from 75 onwards, the probability of death, serious illness, or mental decline rises rapidly.
Lets face it Rupert Murdoch is 93, 15 years older than Trump. In those 15 years he has ruled News Corp and his family with a rod of iron, and , I think, worked he way through several wives as well.

Well, that's cheerful!!
Ps I hope your DB will be fine.
I saw a photo of President-elect Trump with Prime Minister Netanyahu the other night. I didn't think President- elect Trump looked awfully well, but perhaps he was just tired.
In my opinion he probably will last the term, he's a very determined person and I could see him living to a very old age, however, none of us have a crystal ball.

His alleged diet is pretty awful, consisting of mostly (or, if MM is to be believed, totally) fast-food from the American 'chains'. Plus well-grilled steak.
He apparently likes the consistent quality of the food - which I can understand.
But the high cholesterol, high sugar / salt content of this type of food cannot, surely, be good? If it's true what is said, he's been eating this way for years.
He also - again allegedly - regularly fasts for 14 or so hours, after which he ends his fast with a fulfilling fast-food spread.
... the very antithesis of a healthy diet.
We've all heard stories of old people who've lived to a ripe old age who drink, smoke, and - so they say - 'eat what they like'. But they are rare - and I don't believe we get the full story.
My great grandmother lived well into her early 90s (even remarried at 86), drank port every day, smoked regularly (but not heavily), and ate "what she liked" - but 'what she liked' was in fact good, nutritious, food - she loved root vegetables "with a bit of meat", ate celery and tomatoes almost every day at tea-time (because she liked them, and grew her own tomatoes) and, when she could get hold of it - fresh fruit. And made her own bread. If you see what I mean...
If Trump's diet is as reported, it will - in simple terms - affect his overall health, I don't think there's any getting away from that. In fact, I think it's already affecting him. He's running on an adrenalin high ATM, but nutritionally - on empty. And I think it will, ultimately, show.

Genetics play a part too, as well as diet and lifestyle and I know nonagenarians and centenarians who didn't eat a good diet - and smoked although they did give up in their 70s I think.
Trump's mother lived to 88 and his father to 93.

Honestly, I don't think it is her at all- but a lookalike.
Do you need to go to Specsavers? 🤔
Not at all - lok closely. Her hair is very sparse, and there is something not quite right at all.
Putin and others do have lookalike + plastic surgery/make up.
I'm sure Putin does.

She looks older and more natural.
It is Melania.
It certainly looked like her to me both in Paris and at the funeral.. I've assumed that they live apart but that she accompanies him to events..

I’m guessing they didn’t live on McDonalds though. Useless fact - Trump drinks 12 cans of Diet Coke a day, and is such an advert for the company that they have made him special commemorative inaugural bottle of it.
Trump’s latest photo shows all the benefits of good lighting and much photoshopping. He is appallingly vain.

... yes, there is that - genes certainly do play a part.
His mother might have lived even longer had she not been brutally attacked ('mugged') whilst out shopping - according to Wiki, she suffered a brain haemorrhage during the attack.
So, yes, Trump has family 'longevity' on his side.
I still think his diet will have an effect on him - not to mention the excessive consumption of diet-coke.
That photo is interesting, to say the least. I do not think it giving the impression he wanted it to though.

Yup, lots of photoshopping and posing as Mr Tough Guy.
Yuk.
Gun totin’ cowboy from a 1950s movie ?
The biggest predictors of early death, are smoking and drinking alcohol. Trump has never smoked , and he also never drinks . He also has good genes . I imagine he will live a good long life.
