My goodness the statement from the Murdoch is extraordinarily damning.

I wonder what it is that they are keen that we don’t hear at a trial.

Jenn53 Thu 23-Jan-25 12:23:55

I am delighted. Yes, it is a moral and monumental victory! Well done, Harry.

Anniebach Thu 23-Jan-25 12:32:10

And Tom Watson and all who sued but had to settle out of court sooner because they didn’t have vast wealth

Pearce Morgan is having a meltdown!

Anniebach Thu 23-Jan-25 12:53:11

Did he sue ?

Pearce Morgan is having a meltdown!

Your comment sent me online to see if there was anything from Piers Morgan n the news, but I couldn’t find anything.

Where did you see about his “ meltdown” ?

SpringsEternal Thu 23-Jan-25 13:23:28

I wonder how Rebekkah Brookes is feeling...

Anniebach Thu 23-Jan-25 13:30:36

Piers Morgan was editor of The Sun 1994 to 1995 then move to
The Mirror

Anniebach Thu 23-Jan-25 13:41:20

And he said Harry should apologise to the royal family for doing the same ,

HS62 Thu 23-Jan-25 14:17:29

Say what you like about Harry, he had the balls to take them on. Other high profilers would have shied away. He stood up for everyone including the man in the street. Up yours Murdoch.! You crook.

Anniebach Thu 23-Jan-25 14:19:42

He had the money to take them on

Louella12 Thu 23-Jan-25 14:20:49

Anniebach

He had the money to take them on

Exactly. He was the only one with enough cash

Anniebach Thu 23-Jan-25 14:29:39

True, courage didn’t come into it, great it’s been exposed but
praising Harry for having courage isn’t fair to all the other claimants

Maremia Thu 23-Jan-25 14:36:01

Perhaps fewer people will now believe the bile spewed out by Murdoch.

Iam64 Thu 23-Jan-25 15:27:48

Why can’t Harry be congratulated for having the courage to keep going. It must have been stressful
Piers Morgan has said some truly dreadful things about Harry and Meghan

MaizieD Thu 23-Jan-25 15:32:22

Unlikely, I fear...

Anniebach Thu 23-Jan-25 15:33:06

What courage ? if he was at risk of being bankrupt yes, but he
wasn’t, my opinion on this has nothing to do with my dislike of
him, I doubt he spent hours at his desk pouring over files, yes
it would have been very disappointing to have lost and perhaps
embarrassing but him getting the applause whilst so many took
big risks

Exactly, but let's face it, Harry could invent a cure for cancer while at the same time, bringing about world peace and yet it still wouldn't be enough for some folk on here!

Iam64 Thu 23-Jan-25 15:49:33

Viceversa - exactly so. He’s needed courage and resilience from a very young age.

Luminance Thu 23-Jan-25 16:14:56

I think Harry has likely learned the lesson that those who don't like us are just not our type and no loss there.

Jaberwok Thu 23-Jan-25 16:21:08

He's been a spoilt brat from an early age encouraged by his mother and indulged by her late majesty. (Bet she regretted that when he betrayed her) B.P did a brilliant job of covering up for Harry and managed to project the image of a loveable playful slightly naughty Prince. As for Afghanistan, being protected by a brigade of Ghurkas and kept well in the background was hardly heroic ! At least Andrew actually did fly a helicopter and rescue people from the burning ship. That was heroic. Drugs? Well who knows! Sorry I've no time for people who trash their family and benefit financially , even using his dead mother for financial gain! despicable man!

ViceVersa Thu 23-Jan-25 16:24:26

Whether you like him or not, and I know for many on here, it appears to be verging on hate, that does not excuse what was done to him (and many others, by the way) by the Sun.

Jaberwok Thu 23-Jan-25 16:38:49

He wasn't the only one. Brother William settled his claim with the minimum of fuss and with dignity, as have others, possibly out of deference to his grandmother and father, donating the settlement to invictus games, at that time a very worthy charity.

Luminance Thu 23-Jan-25 16:41:16

Well, that was quite a tirade Jaberwok. I wasn't aware anyone was still a supporter of Andrew. Rather odd favouritism there.

Anniebach Thu 23-Jan-25 16:47:05

How is stating the fact Andrew flew helicopters favouritism?

When all else fails use hate, favouritism etc, rubbish , facts are
facts

Jaberwok Thu 23-Jan-25 16:56:30

Thank you Annie. As you say facts are facts, favouritism has nothing to do with facts and Andrews bravery was a fact something he didn't, and hasn't ever boasted about. How strange that Harry sues for violation of privacy, and yet through his book, published world wide, he violates so many people's privacy, not only his family, but even his prep school matron! So unkind and disrespectful. She, or her family should sue!!
