The comment about nappies? Not conspiracy theory but the smell not only of American’s drive to up the birthrate but of Reform’s James McMurdock behind the sales idea. He is doing his bit towards growing the population. When his conviction for kicking a young woman came up again recently, Tice defending him saying Mrs McMurdock had just had another baby. Why the two things should be conflated, as if fathering numerous children somehow mitigates a violent attack on a young woman, is anybody's guess. When McMurdock was elected last July he was decribed as a father of four so that’s five now.

Byline Times exposed McMurdock’s involvement in a number of failed companies one of which was Bulk Buy Shared Limited. No accounts were ever submitted and the company was struck off. I’m guessing it was something along the lines of WeSave that Farage is now promoting.

It does beg the question - what will the menz do when women resist - as surely great swathes of them will?

Can you imagine the judiciary and all its offices, the medical profession - controlled and run by men only, making decisions on women's legal rights, healthcare? Because if women are reduced to a basic education only, their roles will be inferior to the men's.

I suppose the growing number of 'Trad' wives will be OK with this but the genie is out of the bottle now and the rest of us won't be.

I think it's nightmarish - what I don't understand is why Trump's and Farage's supporters can't see where this might lead - for women.

What happens when women are not allowed to carry on in these professions? Only 38% of doctors in the US are women but that is a considerable number. I think over 50% of lawyers are women.

I think it's about time Farage was pressed to give an opinion on actual Trump/Musk policies so we know where we stand in th UK.

Replacing in house chief executives in the NHS with successful leaders from the private sector was tried in the 1980s. It was an unmitigated disaster.

It's not a good idea.

Civil service leaders should not be political appointees.
The Civil Service proper should be independent of politics and should remain so. They are employees of the Crown, impartial and carry out the policies of the government of the day, whichever party is in power.
They are public servants, accountable to the public.

SPADS (Special Advisers) are political appointees and the government usually has a team of those but they are just temporary civil servants. Some try to abuse their power as we have seen in recent years with SPADS of both parties.

Farage's suggestion is worrying.

It must be very frustrating to be a top career civil servant and to have your experience and advice to Ministers overridden constantly by SPADs.

Neither he nor his other MPs bothered to attend the debate in the House about Border Control.

Service should be impartial, I agree, but there is a difference between should and are. I thought during the struggle to implement Brexit, they impeded the process, although that was just by it being reported in some newspapers.

Reform Party UK Exposed # @reformexposed - 9h Council By-Election yesterday. Reform UK won O seats. Came 4th. They've won only 10 seats from 191 by-elections since the General Election. They have just 56 out of 20k councilors across the UK.
