Funny you should say that, I had the same thought. Careful phrasing, quiet strong presence and charm.

Mind you the pundits say he has a strong temper lets hope older and wiser, and also gathers round a really good cabinet that does represent more than just Liberal Party views and "team works". But he's also known for keeping a calm head in a crisis.

Yes, but bearing in mind that he is Canadian, has also been governor of the Bank of Canada, and other posts there, and has also pitched his case as leader to the Canadian people, they are in a better position to judge him than somebody in the UK who doesn’t like him because he steered the Bank of England in a way that politically didn’t suit them.

I am very pleased about that.

Show Trump that Canada is a Commonwealth country and that HM King Charles is still their Head of State.

Carney has always kept his family life as private as possible and free from intrusion by the press and SM. And we should respect this! People have a right to their private lives without prurient speculation.

I think I’m just sick of all the PC pronouns Wyllow , the whole ‘alternative’ identities, the preciousness of it all.

I really like the way Carney has set up the King Charles visit in the context of seeing Trump next Tuesday. Setting up the links between UK/Europe when Trump wants a 51st State.

Carney is realistic about the meeting with Trump.

What exactly is 'wrong' about being 'woke'? Unless of course you side with Musk, and believe that empathy is a weakness.

Carney was head of BoE during very difficult times, Brexit and then Covid which presented huge fiscal problems for every country. Why do you say Carney was "rubbish" FGT ? What would you have done differently? Clearly Canada thought he'd done a decent job or he wouldn't have done the same job there!

I hate the word "woke" it's almost become a sort of swear word I prefer to think about equality and inclusion, which I most firmly believe in. If people want to live in an unfair world why not just say they are pro white male supremacy rather than anti-woke?
