It is very difficult to understand what is really happening and what are lies being perpetrated by Israel or Hamas. Add to this reporting restrictions and it is surprising we know as much as we do.

Yes for a time and the extermination of disabled children whose parents didn't know what had happened to them.
It took a long time for the world to wake up to many of the atrocities the Nazis committed

es, Winston Churchill was aware of the Holocaust and publicly condemned the atrocities committed by Nazi Germany. He received information about the systematic mass murder of Jews through British intelligence and other sources as early as 1941. Churchill frequently referenced these killings in his speeches and correspondence, expressing his horror and promising retribution.

Netanyahu is Churchillian. Netanyahu sees his mission as the brave Western spearpoint defending Western values against a lot of dangerous extremists.

Anniebach the Nazi atrocities were not widely known during the war. Information was not disseminated although the Allies were aware and it wasn't until 1945 and the concentration camps were liberated that the full horror became evident.

This, however, is irrelevant to what is happening in Gaza.

Did not know that about the Rabbis worldwide, TheatreLover.
Thanks for the fuller details, Parsley3

The parallel (and I only wrote of a parallel) is the Warsaw Ghetto, where people were confined to a small area and given food by the Nazis - 300 calories a day - and there was mass starvation. Some of them were the ancestors of some of today's Israelis.

I think that interview with David Mencer on Sky News was a game changer because everyone saw the lies that he was trying to perpetuate.

Why has Israel refused permission to the BBC to film Gaza from the planes delivering aid?

I think that claim has been made by many, by both Jews and non Jews.
Am interested in learning about the leading UK antisemitism watchdog you mention, demanding that her awards be revoked.

I do not believe it true that many Jews and non Jews compare
the Israel / Gaza war with the Holocaust and Israel with the
Nazis, who could be that brutal, false information yet again

NO, it is NOT false information. There are many Jews, and some holocaust survivors, saying exactly the same. Some have been posted previously.

Maremia Mon 28-Jul-25 18:31:34

Do you mean, they are not allowed to travel and film from the planes?

MayBee70 Mon 28-Jul-25 18:34:38

Maremia

Do you mean, they are not allowed to travel and film from the planes?

A reporter ( Sky News?) on a plane just said when they reached a certain point they could no longer film. I think she also said that the places where the aid could be dropped were not the most beneficial areas in which to do so.

Can the BBC be trusted with broadcasting the truth ? Several
apologies from them this year

Google BBC Controversies , Wiki, I so remember the anger caused in the miners strike, Battle of Orgrieve ,

AGAA4 Mon 28-Jul-25 18:37:16

It was on the news Maremia that the planes carrying aid were forbidden by Israel to film in Gaza. The reporter said he could see out the window that a previous bustling built up area of Gaza was completely
flat.

Maremia Mon 28-Jul-25 19:01:18

Thanks GNs, so they still believe they can hide what they have done?
And the choices made for the aid drops, were not the best? Stooping lower and lower all the time.

Devorgilla Mon 28-Jul-25 19:30:56

Surely it isn't that unusual for a country at war not to want people in planes filming the ground? There may be military there who need protected, or aid workers, or installations.

Smileless2012 Mon 28-Jul-25 19:48:24

It's military they don't want filmed, it's evidence of the devastation they've caused but he saw it and as AGA has posted, a area of Gaza he knew well that's been completely flattened.

Smileless2012 Mon 28-Jul-25 19:49:03

It isn't military they don't want filmed .....

Exactly.
It’s nothing to do with not seeing areas that are flattened, we see those pics all the time on the news.

Smileless2012 Mon 28-Jul-25 19:58:21

Yes we see them Oreo but they're not taken by international journalists because Israel wont let them and that includes the BBC.

Oreo Mon 28-Jul-25 20:06:15

It doesn’t matter who takes them, it’s not hidden.

AGAA4 Mon 28-Jul-25 20:09:10

areas that have been flattened the whole of Gaza has been flattened.
Now I wonder what we would see if we looked out of a plane window flying over Israel.? I'm sure there are no flattened areas in this country at 'war' with Gaza.

Oreo Mon 28-Jul-25 20:14:37

And your point is?

Oreo Mon 28-Jul-25 20:15:20

We were talking of pics of Gaza.

Oreo Mon 28-Jul-25 20:17:27

I would think that Israel isn’t keen on the BBC what with the bias shown and documentaries which had to be pulled and them refusing to call hamas a terrorist group.
