It is very difficult to understand what is really happening and what are lies being perpetrated by Israel or Hamas. Add to this reporting restrictions and it is surprising we know as much as we do.

That is because they have the backing of Trump.

Lose that and it will be a different ball game,.

But there is too much money in it for. Trump so he won’t be stopping the atrocities.

It’s heartbreaking to see the mothers with their children crying because they are so hungry and starving to death and there’s nothing they can do about it.
I just don’t understand how people can kill people who are trying to get food for their children, no matter what faith or nationality, colour or religion.
It looks to me as if the hunted (Jews in Holocaust)are becoming the hunters

Just let the lorries in.

It isn’t bloody rocket science

I actually agree with you.The IDF could provide cover in case of mass violence and looting. The GHF isn’t working as it was meant to.

Maremia Fri 25-Jul-25 17:14:32

Agree with Whitewave about letting the lorries in.

AGAA4 Fri 25-Jul-25 18:36:45

The air drop seems to be the only thing the Israelis are allowing. It is haphazard and dangerous but I hope some of the starving children get a share of the food.

Smileless2012 Fri 25-Jul-25 18:41:34

Which is why they're allowing it AGA 'we let in aid, it's not our fault it all went wrong'.

Maremia Fri 25-Jul-25 22:05:29

Huge demonstration against the war in Tel Aviv. We can hear what the residents are saying.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 26-Jul-25 08:10:06

Severe malnutrition has tripled in the under 5s in two weeks.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 26-Jul-25 08:13:16

This air drop whilst it might provide a small amount of calories to a small amount of people is frankly disgraceful.

Everyone knows that it won’t work, but we are playing Netanyahu's game.

T he world simply needs to insist that he lets the lorries in.

AGAA4 Sat 26-Jul-25 08:52:27

The BBC has said this morning that the boxes being given out by Israel/US have little nutritional value and everything needs to be cooked. As there is a serious shortage of fuel and water how are they going to cook?
It said that the aid provided by the UN has much more nutritional value.

Those lorries need to be allowed in to Gaza.

Smileless2012 Sat 26-Jul-25 08:54:51

There's no intention of letting real aid in AGA this is a token gesture with no real value.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 26-Jul-25 08:56:23

Yes😡😡

AGAA4 Sat 26-Jul-25 08:59:33

I'm hoping Starmer's plan to evacuate seriously ill children in Gaza to the UK will be allowed.
If Israel refuse that will be another stain on them.

Maremia Sat 26-Jul-25 09:03:10

Israeli PR trying to shift the aid blockage blame to the UN folk just now.
The people who are stopping the aid lorries getting into Gaza are the people with weapons at the border holding up the trucks, for 'admin' and 'security' reasons.
Anyone's guess who they are?

AGAA4 Sat 26-Jul-25 09:05:51

I think we all know that the air drop is just like sticking a plaster on a gaping wound. That wasn't the point I was making.
I was talking about the difference in nutritional value of foods given out by the US and the UN.

Maremia Sat 26-Jul-25 09:08:32

Last week there were almost 60 politicians asking Starmer to recognise a Palestinian State.
This week it was 220, and not just 'lefty wokes'. There were reps from 9 different parties. That is a big development.
Kudos to everyone on here who wrote in.

Maremia Sat 26-Jul-25 09:09:39

I wasn't aware of that AGAA4. Please, what is the issue there?

Maremia Sat 26-Jul-25 09:11:12

Have just re-read you post above. How can they actually be so stupid?
If 'stupid' is actually the correct word.

As claimed by BBC

Smileless2012 Sat 26-Jul-25 09:13:09

Well IMO the lack of nutritional value is deliberate as is the need for the food to be cooked when there are virtually no means of doing so. What better way to look as if you're doing something while continuing to allow people to die of starvation.

Maremia Sat 26-Jul-25 09:26:42

They seem to know how to 'play the game'. It's like when rich countries sent out of date meds as 'relief' to places in need.

Anniebach Sat 26-Jul-25 09:28:14

Hamas is winning the game

Maremia Sat 26-Jul-25 09:35:10

Which game AnnieB?

It isn’t the right time and Starmer knows it. Hamas will be hailed as heroes if they’re awarded a Palestinian State.
It should only be as part of a plan when hostages are released and hamas give up and leave.Even then, some
Gazans will hail them as heroes I expect, but it will be worth it.
At this minute, there is still everything to lose. Not that other countries saying they ‘recognise’ it as a State does anything, over a hundred countries already recognise it, which isn’t the same as awarding it, but I think Starmer knows the right thing to do and I hope he doesn’t cave in about this.

PR I expect.
