Either ,one would be ashamed to call oneself an Israeli, or Israelis are being kept in ignorance of what the Knesset is doing in Gaza.
Either, West Bank settlers are rabid nationalists, or they are ashamed of West Bank settlers who use violence or stealth to steal farms and water supplies from Palestinians.
In all cases Judaism holds much the same set of ethics as Christians, Muslims , seculars, and civilised peoples everywhere.

Israel Committing War Crimes - Israel - Gaza Part 4
(705 Posts)It is very difficult to understand what is really happening and what are lies being perpetrated by Israel or Hamas. Add to this reporting restrictions and it is surprising we know as much as we do.

You too , ?
It seems to me that this shame thing is getting way out of hand.
We can only feel shame for our own actions.
Muslims need not feel it for the atrocities done by hamas and Jews need not feel it for any actions by IDF.
As for Miriam Margolyes, she would claim to have eaten her own Grandmother if it got her some attention.
As for the nonsense of shame for anything this government has done or will do, I voted for them to be in power but I wouldn’t feel personal shame, it’s not possible as when you vote you only have a very rough idea what a government will do.And it’s them doing something that you have no control over.
I think what Starmer has done, saying that in September the UK may recognise Palestine as a State was done to appease his own MPs but fortunately doesn’t matter much in any practical way.Which is a good job as there are still 20 hostages to get out.

Spot on, Oreo!
It's rather like the collective guilt Jews are supposed to carry for the cruxificion of Jesus Christ.
Should they all wear hair shirts because of what their Government is doing?
Should a Gazan child feel guilt for what was perpetrated upon Israeli babies and children?

Well, she has been out of the limelight recently.
Sorry - crucifixion.
Miriam Margolyes , some time ago she was mentioned in a post , she was a Jew and didn’t support Israel, I search and learned she enjoyed having her vagina steamed , I searched for her no more
Thanks for that Anniebach. Horrible.
😯
Well, I could understand if it was her anus as she always has problems with wind.
(Sorry to lower the tone)
I lowered the tone first , but it was funny I looked for serious criticism and found that
Palestine Action have had permission from the high court to challenge their ban.
Well, if they keep damaging infrastructure and MOD property, including planes which may well have carried aid to Gaza, I hope they stay on the proscribed list.
Who is funding them and this action?
Since 5 July 2025, it has been an offence under the UK's Terrorism Act 2000 to be a member of Palestine Action, fundraise for it, wear or display items arousing reasonable suspicion of membership, or if someone invites support or "expresses an opinion or belief supportive of" Palestine Action and "in doing so is reckless as to whether a person to whom the expression is directed will be encouraged to support" it. These offences carry a maximum penalty of fines and up to 14 years in prison for membership or inviting support, and up to 6 months in prison for displaying supporting items
Demonstrating shouldn’t need causing damage or inconvenience to the public. As Stop Oil caused ambulance delays .
Palestine Action was established on 30 July 2020 when activists broke into and spray-painted the interior of Elbit Systems' UK headquarters in London.[6] The organisation's co-founders are Huda Ammori, daughter of a Palestinian father and an Iraqi mother, and Richard Barnard, a long-term left-wing activist.[7]
As I thought
The New York Times has amended a widely circulated article on starvation in Gaza after it emerged that a child featured in the piece – photographed with his mother and brother – suffers from severe pre-existing medical conditions.
Mohammed Zakaria al-Mutawaq, who was described in the original report as acutely malnourished, has cerebral palsy and additional genetic illnesses that affect his physical appearance, the paper

Allow foreign independdent journalists into Gaza - and then we will talk about impartiality and truth.
Hi Wyllow3, found again those email addresses on page 17 of this thread. Had a go at the one for Keir Starmer, but you then have to fill in a form to send a short message. They let you know in advance, to not expect a reply. Which is fine. I have long discovered that is the usual outcome.
Have a good week everyone, and I'll check in when I get back. At this rate you may be onto Thread 5, so I'll search for that.
If someone does decide to post a thread about anti-semitism, as discussed pages ago, I will look for that too.
Keep well.

Yes I didn’t see him tonight, but listened to him a couple of days ago. His charity is probably as experienced as it gets so he knows exactly what he is talking about.
The world should listen.

Watching the news on +1. The interview with the plastic surgeon who has just returned from Gaza was heartbreaking.
Netanyahu insists there is no famine in Gaza and enough food for all. Does he really think most people believe him.
But some here do believe him- and will soon be here saying tht surgeon is a Hamas supporter and lying, or at least, 'exagerating'.

He's trying to convince himself.
Not always a fan of Piers Morgan, and he used to be a supporter os Israel. Here is is saying that we all know why Israel does not want foreing independent Journalists there- because Israel does not want us to see what is truly going on.

That's quite something from Piers Morgan. I'm not a fan but that analysis was so impressive.
