I joined a history site on FB It amuses me how many people, usually from the US, who jump straight in and claim heritage with the king or queen being discussed. One even claimed he was descended from William the Conqueror.
They never seem to be descended from Dick the grave digger or Ned the miller.

Of course there is that Canadian who is the defendant of Richard III,

According to an American on a genealogy site, she and I are descended from Anne Boleyn, along with a lot of others (mainly American)!

It's so surprising that famous women who are constantly in the public eye manage to have babies without anybody noticing at the time.

Oh well, I suppose it is the silly season.
