Frankly the Government does not seem to be able recognise its arse from its elbow over this.

I have thought for a long time that Russia and Ukraine are fighting a war, which continues to recognise the rules of engagement and the UN is able to operate relatively freely within the battle zone unhindered by the waring parties.

Not so in Gaza. Israel has completely trashed these rules of engagement as we are witnessing with the killing of aid workers and journalists.

Condemnation of the way Israel are treating Palestinians from the US could have stopped this war in it's tracks. The hostages would be safely home and some kind of peace restored.

British Government relying on a Foreign Office review, has concluded that Israel conduct in Gaza does not meet the legal definition of genocide under international law

Whatever people want to call it Israel have destroyed the homes, way of life and infrastructure of Palestinians apart from killing almost 64,000 of the population.

What else does stopping water, medical aid, food etc alongside the rhetoric/stated intention of members of the Israeli government indicate other than genocide?

In a letter finalised on Friday, the scholars charge the association with “critical errors” in its resolution, including failing to consider Hamas’ role in the deaths in Gaza and whether any explanation other than an intent to harm an entire group can explain the crisis there.

This is because it is being looked at in international court - so of course Israel is rallying its supporters. But you will find that the vast majority will come down on the side of genocide.

I am astounded 🙄 that the signatories are almost without exception Israeli!

I believe MSF who are there in Gaza and are calling this genocide. They also say the UK is complicit in the crimes.
If most of those signings at the international court are Israelis then the vote will be extremely biased.

Yes I do think that the government is complicit of course I do!

Selling Israel fighter jets to be used in Gaza is in my opinion totally beyond the pale.

Anything our government does to aid Israel in its waring activities in Gaza is complicit in genocide and in particular the war against children.
