Much as I dislike Trump I believe he might have enough influence to achieve this.

I'm glad I'm not one of those millions Oreo.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 09-Sept-25 15:19:07

So don’t look there look here?

We were talking about MSF, which in my opinion is more experienced than the U.K. government.

Oreo Tue 09-Sept-25 15:20:46

It isn’t experienced to say which country is complicit! They should stick to medical matters.

I’m not one of the millions either, but the fact remains that a lot of people are more bothered by things close to home.

Israel are on a killing spree. They have become obsessed with Hamas and have killed 64,000 Palestinians and only 8000 were Hamas.
Did they think of innocent lives when they bombed Qatar. They will fulfill their aim to the end.

Yes, Israel will fulfill their aim to the end, take out as many of hamas as is humanly possible and try and get both alive and dead hostages back.

AGAA4 Tue 09-Sept-25 15:32:18

There is a question of whether the US knew about the attack on Qatar. It is a sovereign country and has a huge US air base there.
If they did know then relations with the gulf Arab allies could be affected.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Tue 09-Sept-25 15:32:43

Hamas could just release the hostages.
There’s a novel thought.

Well done Israel. Finish the job. These vermin terrorists hiding amongst their own citizens are despicable.

Eloethan Tue 09-Sept-25 16:28:44

You may be right that many people are more bothered about things closer to home than the killing of 60,000 Gazan citizens and the maiming of thousands of others, plus the ongoing starvation of the remainder of the population.

Many people in the UK weren't that bothered about what was happening in Nazi Germany either - as was demonstrated by the fact that, other than a number of children, most Jewish people were refused admission to the UK.

Israel seems determined to cause violence, chaos and unrest throughout the world. I don't think it wants any solution to the violence, except more violence and the elimination of the Palestinian people. The targeting of Qatar seems to be designed to thwart any efforts to negotiate a halt to the violence between Israel and Hamas.

So you are encouraging a waring country to ignore the rules of engagement!

Well done.

Anniebach Tue 09-Sept-25 16:37:15

Countries were not bothered about the Holocaust and Jews, hence we heard Never Again , some hear it now but many choose to ignore now

The US have said they knew about the Israeli attack on Qatar. Law breaking doesn't mean much in the US now.

Are you bothered that senior hamas figures have now been eliminated? The very ones that orchestrated the 7th October massacre in Israel.Hiding out in Doha in expensive apartments with the blessing of the Qatar government!
The IDF are now going for the ‘cut the head off the snake’ policy which is a wise move.

If not organisations like MSF - then who?

So you are on the side of the lawless

Oreo Tue 09-Sept-25 17:28:31

So you are on the side of the hamas senior figures in Doha?
They’re terrorists don’t be wasting any sympathy on them.

Smileless2012 Tue 09-Sept-25 17:52:25

No one has expressed any sympathy for senior Hamas figures in Doha Oreo or anywhere else.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 09-Sept-25 18:10:52

Israel has completely violated another countries sovereignty.

“This is not just a strike on Hamas. It is a strike on sovereignty. International law is explicit. No state may attack another without Security Council approval or a case of direct self-defence. Israel had neither. Jets crossed borders, bombs fell, and left in silence”.

It is self defence , you will continue to deny it

Tell that to the international court of law and see how far you get.

You would be laughed out of court.

silverlining48 Tue 09-Sept-25 18:28:28

It was reported that the meeting in Qatar was discussing a peace agreement which would not please Israel which would have been aware of this.
For Israel to bomb a foreign country without reason is against international law. Will anything be done about it? We all know the answer to that.

Parsley3 Tue 09-Sept-25 18:30:26

Qatar has not attacked Israel so how can it be called self defence?

Whitewavemark2 Tue 09-Sept-25 18:36:47

Has this ever happened before? I can’t remember such an incident where allies bombed another ally completely violating its sovereignty.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 09-Sept-25 18:41:02

So I guess Netanyahu has successfully destroyed the ceasefire talks.

Onwards and upwards with the genocide.

AGAA4 Tue 09-Sept-25 18:51:31

Smotrich has said Israel will destroy Hamas wherever they are in the world. Who will they bomb next? They seem to think they have a right to do whatever they want continually breaking laws.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 09-Sept-25 18:54:20

Oh so let’s be grateful we didn’t invite the peace talks weren’t held in London, or anywhere in Europe
