Famine in Gaza city and other areas of Gaza has now officially been declared.
The first famine outside of Africa.

BBC report
“Israel has faced mounting criticism over the 22-month-long war with Hamas, with UN-backed experts warning of widespread famine unfolding in the besieged territory.
On Tuesday members of an international group of former leaders known as "The Elders" for the first time called the war in Gaza an "unfolding genocide" and blamed Israel for causing famine among its population.
Following a visit to the Gaza border, Helen Clark and Mary Robinson, a former prime minister of New Zealand and a former president of Ireland, said in a joint statement: "What we saw and heard underlines our personal conviction that there is not only an unfolding, human-caused famine in Gaza. There is an unfolding genocide."

This is a man made famine.
Of course the most vulnerable will die first, the elderly and sick, the babies and small children, next will come the parents refusing what little food there is in order to feed the children, and so it goes on.
I think Israel is coming to terms with a changed reality after the Hamas massacre. It will no longer tolerate a two state solution and from now on Palestinians will live in a different configuration than before. The emphasis has to be on security for both Jews and Palestinians. I wish the rest of the world would wise up.

So the rest of the world who see this as genocide with starvation used as a weapon of war and the IDF camps as prison/concentration camps are totally misguided and you are totally right?
Sounds highly unlikely to me, but you could always try to get through to all other world leaders bar Trump and various populations, including a growing number of those living in Israel, to tell them the error of their ways.
Palestinians will live in a different configuration than before in concentration camps run by Israel.
The rest of the world has "wised up" and knows exactly what is happening.
Denial of human suffering is very often down to deeply held prejudices, when those suffering are not seen as ‘the same as us’, so their deaths don’t have the same currency.
Holocaust deniers are antisemitic and will go to great lengths to question the statistics of those killed and their actual suffering.
The majority of us look upon such people with loathing.
I fear that those who deny what is happening in Gaza may also have a deeply held hatred of Muslims.
Or simply be seriously misled.
A good analysis Babs03.
It’s true that I have a deep revulsion for the individuals and governments involved in the massacre which began this planned and deliberate conflict. I also have a less than high opinion of governments and individuals who want more of the same. Israel can’t go back to the life it thought it had and must take preemptive measures to stop Hamas/Palestinians from murdering Jews when they feel they want to. Not a recipe for living together on the same land mass.
Most of us have a revulsion for the attack by Hamas.
Many worldwide have a revulsion for what the extreme right Israeli government is doing in Gaza. A famine has now been declared. There have been 62000 murdered, most civilians.
It is a horrible situation whichever way you look at it. I don’t know what the answer is because both sides are determined to win and annihilate their opposition.

After the 7th Oct there was a valid reason for the IDF to attack Hamas in Gaza, I imagine everyone, including western governments, could see that.
Now their attacks on Gaza/Hamas are no longer a reason but an excuse to further a nefarious agenda.

I don’t think that Hamas can win anything, they initially launched a heinous terrorist attack but they know they can’t touch Israel.
We are talking about a first world country with state of the art weaponry and nukes as well as one of the biggest armies in the region and a protective dome deflecting any missile attacks, against a third world strip of land with no defences, and so densely populated that civilians are shot/bombed like fish in a barrel.
Is by no means a proportionate war.

I agree. The two state solution is now gone out the window since Gaza has shown it can’t be trusted an inch.Israel will do what it has to.
Thanks Oreo it seems though that governments outside Israel have yet to grasp the concept.

So you know better than all the governments that have condemned the actions of the Israeli government?

Produced by Gaza means figures produced by hamas.
Much trust in Hamas
No trust in the IDF who have lied.
Yes I believe that I do. I don’t have to worry about the various allegiances of my voters. It’s smoke and mirrors surely?

No it's quite clear and rather an arrogant view.
Do you also believe that the propaganda films showing aid workers stirring huge vats of hot food, plastic plates with appetising pre prepared food and heavily laden shelves of various items of food, including Snicker's bars are true ronib?
Sorry I am not in the ministry of misinformation and have no idea …. Smileless2012 I was surprised to see some rather chubby people in the background on a CNN video recently…. But?????
I asked whether you believed the film described in my post, made by and put out by Israel *ronib.
I have not seen the film.

I agree but the problem is that people living in Gaza have no army, little "defence" tech, no-one who comes to their aid. So Hamas have no realistic chance of annihilating all Israelis, and they know it.Would they if they could? Hypothetical question.
Israel have every resource they need to annihilate everyone living in Gaza, most of whom are not Hamas, probably don't support Hamas. And it looks as if they will do exactly this if someone with influence doesn't restrain them.

AFAUI the population of Gaza is still increasing, so 62,000 dead does not equate to genocide.
That’s ok looks like the IDF are hell bent upon upping the death toll to meet your particular standards when it comes to genocide.
It's a war, easily stopped if Hamas handed over the hostages they are starving to death.
So where would that leave the surviving Hamas fighters? What bargaining tool would they have left? From their point of view, if they're going to be killed anyway, they might as well take the hostages with them.
Well that's charming, and you have the gall to criticise Israel.
What gets me though, there is more killing and starvation, in Yemen, more rapes in the Congo, the rape capital of the world, more killings in Sudan. As one lady from the Congo said where are the shouts and the flags for our plight, and you know why, because a Jewish nation, apart from sending much needed aid to that area, is not involved. That is the crux of the matter. The UN is not doing its job in distributing aid, supplied by Israel, to its enemies.
