Those who are saying there are not hordes coming into our country are very wrong. There are 32,000 in hotels here alone.
Regarding the star ratings of hotels - of course they are all perfectly good hotels. 3 seafront hotels in Bournemouth are being used right now (to the dismay of local residents and holidaymakers who now cannot stay in them). We stayed in one of them and I can assure you it was fine. Nice big bedroom, good restaurant, indoor pool, gym, etc. with stunning views over the sea. Our room had triple aspect windows so it was great to sit there and watch the world go by.
Nothing is ever good enough for illegal immigrants or their supporters.
Failing deportation they should be put in tents in a secure compound which will certainly deter others from coming here. Starmer and Cooper need to take much more drastic action than they are at present. It is pathetic.

32,000 is hardly hordes!!!
The person commenting on such comments as we're made on the video called them "arrogant ignorance" and I think he may have something there.
Now, you see, I consider that to be a comment borne of "arrogant ignorance". Statistics prove that 87% of migrants turning up on our beaches are male; the remaining 13% are women and children. Many of those men are angry and violent, as witnessed by Chris Philp during his recent visit to one of the many camps just outside of Calais. During his visit he witnessed extreme violence between the migrants themselves and he personally was threatened with a machete, a knife and then pelted with rocks, stones and glass bottles. The migrants have insisted that nothing will deter them from reaching the UK; no threats of deportation, arrest or imprisonment make any difference to their intentions. Some of those interviewed said that they had been assured that Britain would welcome them, provide them with housing and work; many said that they wanted the UK "to provide them with an education so that they could get delivery work". Alarmingly, a couple of those interviewed said that they "had no need of work because we have people waiting for us"; which begs the question of who is waiting and what for. Not all migrants are violent, misogynistic criminals; some are just seeking a better, safer life. But without knowing anything about them, we don't know who is malevolent, and who is not, until it's too late. In the meantime, millions of ordinary British people are tired of hearing about their young women and girls being sexually assaulted and harassed by gangs of bored, lonely and sexually frustrated men. Their compassion is almost expired. Answers will need to be found pdq if you want to avoid Farage dealing with the problem.
46,000 illegal immigrants have arrived in boats since Labour got in. On top of that are all those sneaking in by lorries, car boots, speedboats, camper vans etc.
That is hordes in anybody’s book.

Deportation is the only answer.
32,000 immigrants residing in hotels which cost us a fortune and which local people, in the main, do not want.
Actually deportation isn't the only answer or, indeed, an answer that will change anything.
What we have to face the fact that some people have always looked for a better life elsewhere and it has often been to our advantage to send or receive the fittest family members. They can cope better and work harder physically so it's the oft conjured "common sense" that we both send and receive them.
What we need to understand and work on, is that the only place we can really solve this problem is back where it starts; the place these people would rather call home.
There is no way for people to talk about this issue, doing it via the ballot box has failed, speaking about it they are labelled stupid or racist, or the language they use is wrong, I have no idea how people think this is going to resolve itself but certainly saying people are stupid or 'led by other forces' is not going to help.
No, they are not all perfectly good hotels.
Here are some of the comments from TripAdvisor about the Bell Hotel in Epping before it became accommodation for asylum seekers:
"Lovely staff - checked in and when asked to book in for breakfast was told not currently available even tho offered on the website and visible sign at reception with prices 😅
While building looking very tired but the room was clean and bed comfortable .
No hot water ,TV broken and had to request cup towel and milk ( all three bought to me very quickly ) but the no hot water was a deal breaker."
"My wife and I stayed here while wedding a friend's wedding. Have to stay that the staff tried but the place looks tired and so was the room.
The bathroom needs attention to bring it up to any standard.
Breakfast in the morning was very average.
The only positive aspect was plenty of parking.
We will not be staying here again."
"Just checked out of this REALLY BAD well you can't call it a hotel.. Is really a 1950 motel. Service really poor room not that much better either. Booked in yesterday to be told by the receptionist that breakfast was till 10.30 am. Set alarm so as not to miss it to be told that We got it wrong.. Its till 9.00. Didn't want to give us a refund as it wasn't there fault we missed it. DON'T STAY HERE IF YOU DON'T HAVE To!"
"Worst hotel ever stayed in it’s like something out of the 1970’s a load of of us stayed here as wedding guests and every single room has stains on the walls and white stains on the sofas/chairs. Facility’s are terrible you would have a more powerful shower if you stood out in the rain. On discussion with other guests the same rooms for the same night were all different prices. Some one paid £160 for two nights some payed 120 for one night we payed 100 for one night and you look on there website and it says £59 now. Your better off sleeping in your car in the car park"
"Wouldn't recommend this hotel at all, used it just to get ready in for a wedding and to sleep in after the wedding and hated it. They asked for £20 extra for early check in and we were told this would be 12 o clock, got there at 12 and the leaflet said 11am early check in so already false information and the extra hour would have helped, especially as we paid for it. There were stains all over the walls and carpets, bugs and flies etc - no air conditioning!
We had the room for one single night and check out was 12pm but the housekeepers knocked and came in at 9am!? absolutely ridiculous and not needed if we were only there for one night, didn't make sense at all.
Went to have a shower in the morning and there was a massive spider in the bath. Wouldn't bother with this place, its a nice area so I'm sure you could get somewhere better."
"Got to big the worst place I’ve stayed in the rooms where so dated I had to check I was the age I thought I was like something out the 1980s rooms where so old and dated.
Staff wasn’t great either fella on reception was rude when we left.
Would I stay there again 😂 id rather sleep in a card board box on the street"
"We were definitely disappointed with this hotel...staff were lovely but the rooms etc were very run down...our bed was as hard as nails and bathroom not very appealing at all. We even had metal bits sticking out of the wall which presumably ? Held a shelf at one time. I read one review just now that heating was not on..we had the opposite, we could not turn rads down even though the thermostat said it had. Fine to crash for a night which is what we did but definitely would not stay any longer. Breakfast was ok...plenty of it.
My heart sank as soon as we drove into the very upkempt grounds of the car park."
"I was quite disappointed with the hotel. The rooms are in a separate block and there is no security there whatsoever; anyone could walk in. The bed was very comfortable but the room was extremely dated. It looked like something out of the 1970’s. Actually, the whole hotel needs to be brought up to date."
"Hotel is quite run down, really needs attention, things don't work. Beds weren't comfortable and food was appalling, ate both dinner and breakfast, thought surely they couldn't mess up a jacket potato and beans but somehow they managed! LOL Wouldn't stay here again."
"Stayed here for one night as we were attending a wedding, and have to say for £90 was expecting a decent hotel. It reminded me of Crossroads Motel from the 70's. The whole place is crying out to be modernised. Rooms are very dated with no air conditioning. The corridors to the rooms have carpet which is dirty and lifting up, which is a trip hazard. The restaurant has awful net curtains and plastic plants. Breakfast is ok but the coffee was awful. The bar service was painfully slow even when I was the only person waiting to be served. The only decent thing about this hotel is the location. If I was staying longer than one night I would have checked out and stayed elsewhere. It needs a complete overhaul to get it up to standard."
"Looks like Crossroads from the outside and looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 80s too. There was a smell of burnt grease outside. Even though it has an Indian restaurant no smell of Indian food just burned dirty grease smell.
Staff are very friendly and helpful but there’s hardly any of them.
There are stains on the carpets everywhere.
My first room the shower head was collapsing and the tv didn’t work. The second room was better and could see an effort was made to clean it. But there was a bag of sweets from previous guests beer bed. Soap from previous guest was still in the shower. Stains on the sofa and carpet and rips it in the quilt cover. The built in shower was cold only no matter what I tried. One on hose was ok.
I paid for breakfast in advance £5 - seemed like a good deal. Turned up first morning no hot buffet and no staff. After waiting for nearly 10 minutes the cleaner went and fetched someone for me. She asked if I wanted them to cook me a breakfast. Given the wait I declined. Made myself 2 pieces of toast. Couldn’t have a hot drink because there was no herbal tea or decaf. Didn’t bother going to breakfast again after that so paid £20 for 2 slices of toast.
Like I said no problem with staff - they are very pleasant and try hard. Just not enough of them and whole place needs a proper deep clean."
It has an overall rating of 2.7.

No! No illegal immigrants have arrived (unless they landed without reporting to Border Force). You don't seem to understand the law. There's nothing illegal about applying for asylum.

It's subjective. They don't all arrive together, so they're not a horde.

I think I'd prefer a tent to a run down, grotty hotel.

I wonder if it would help if what were hotels (ie places run for the convenience and luxury of paying customers) were renamed when they are repurposed to simply house asylum seekers? They are no longer hotels, any more than an old bank or cinema that is now a Wetherspoons is still what it used to be.
People talk about 'luxury' hotels, as though asylum seekers get champagne delivered by room service and people are given free slippers. They are given free everything. Priority medical and dental treatment too.
I doubt if they would want the champagne. They will get three meals a day. Pity we can't give our own people the same. I remember being unable to use medication prescribed because there was no cash spare for prescription charges. I also missed meals so the children could eat. I realise this wouldn't have been the norm for most GNeters.
Surely one of the problems is we can't provide for our own poor elderly, poor families and long term sick. It's bound to upset those people when they see what's happening. It's all made worse when the more comfortably off dismiss their concerns.
I agree that there is an issue around people who remain unaffected by having asylum seekers in their locality dismissing the concerns of those who do. That dismissal is one of the reasons for the rise of the Far Right, and for protest votes for Brexit and Reform.
But (and it's a big 'but') it is not dismissing concerns to point out that phrases such as 'hordes of single, fighting age young men', and 'They are given free everything' are simply inaccurate, as is calling people in the hotels 'illegal'. They would not be allowed to stay there if they were. Illegal immigrants are deported as soon as their application to stay is refused, and only those waiting for their case to be heard are given places to stay, which the government is trying to make happen as quickly as possible.
Of course there are more young men taking dangerous trips to safety than there are elderly people or women and children. They probably hope to send for their families when they get established, or to send money home if that's not possible. If, God forbid, my family were fleeing terror I'm sure we would send sons and SILs before older people and babies. It's common sense, as the vulnerable would be far less likely to survive a dangerous journey.
Do you have a shred of evidence that asylum seekers are given priority medical care? Or that they get 'everything' free? What is included in 'everything'? There is a lot of help available for families on low incomes, and people settled here can work for a living, which asylum seekers are not allowed to do, so they can't pay for food. How many meals a day would you allow them?
There is no way for people to talk about this issue
Exactly. And that's precisely why thousands of ordinary people have taken to the streets to voice their concerns in the only way that's left open to them: protest. Had they been listened to, had their concerns and worries heard without being shouted down as "racist", "stupid", "thick" and "brexiteers", they perhaps wouldn't have felt ignored and disenfranchised. So after the dreadful riots last summer, they've learnt how to protest in the main peacefully and forcefully; they're not willing to be told that they just have to accept that their children can be assaulted, harassed and intimated by men who hold women to a lower value, just because successive governments haven't figured out what to do with hordes of men of unknown origin being dumped in their communities. You can only succeed in bullying and name calling people into submission for a finite period of time; eventually those people will turn on you. It looks like that time has come.
I agree with a lot of what you say, (not the bit about children being assaulted harassed and intimidated - I'd need evidence before accepting that that is anything but extremely rare) but can you explain why you highlighted 'hordes' please?
According to all the dictionary definitions I looked up, the word "horde" has a derogatory meaning, which is presumably what these posters want to convey when they use it.
* "racist", "stupid", "thick" and "brexiteers"* - you left about the bit about paranoia and a victim complex.

I'm sure you're right - the word makes me think of Atilla the Hun, but I am wondering why Laboutine deliberately highlighted it, if not to be deliberately confrontational.
Yes they are talking about it all over social media ( one of the reasons the liberals hate SM) but whatever they say it is the wrong words, or they are far right, or nazis.
That strategy just doesn't work.
100’s of young men claiming asylum should not be housed anywhere near the general public. They could all be rapists and murderers for all we know.
They should be housed in some sort of disused army barracks and kept a close eye on.
Just found out a large hotel in my town has been.used for housing asylum seekers for two years. Never knew, pass it regularly, never heard any problems but it is grotty looking and has been for years.
Drug dealing gangs and illegal vape shops are a problem.

. I wouldn't be on here if I did.

sundowngirl illegal immigrants get nothing!
Just must correct this!
"illegal immigrants get nothing" I beg to differ
This video from an employee that worked three months at the Copthorn Hotel
www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbVnwGVuKDg
How can you say they get nothing - seems to me that they do very well in this hotel and there are similar videos from other hotels.
So no I won't correct this
yes there are hundreds of immigrants coming to this country every other day, the dingys are getting bigger, holding more, and mostly young men, who don't have documents, Border control don't know who they're allowing in, if they are genuine asylum seekers why do they ditch their documents on the way over, or pay the gangs £ thousands to take the dangerous route rather than safe passage.women and children should feel safe in their town, and before anyone says uk men attack too....well that makes it more important not to allow any in..we have enough already

It is not going to ‘resolve itself’ though, however much people talk about it, protest, or whatever. A change of government would see a continuation of basically the same approach, there is no revolution ahead. It is a problem which all developed nations face, and tinkering around the edges has never stopped it happening, nor will it in future. Sensible people realise that, whatever their political persuasion.
