Allira

Lathyrus3

And most of us in the UK.

What percentage of our DNA would qualify us as one of the British tribes who could take back the land?

Pretty certain I’m OK. Out you all go!

DNA tests? We really are getting very silly here.

I'll pack me bags.

Where do I go though? 🤔

Not my problem😬

How very unkind. I thought you might let me stay in your spare room/garden shed.

Apparently you should be sent to America along with anyone that diesnt belong.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Lathyrus3 Mon 17-Nov-25 14:37:30

R there is the shed on the allotment if you undertake to spread that great heap of manure ………..

Lathyrus3 Mon 17-Nov-25 14:49:55

Still waiting to hear the acceptable DNA content for Oalestine residency.

Babs03 Mon 17-Nov-25 15:21:53

I don’t think the DNA suggestion is any less risible than the suggestion that an ancient document written over 2000 years ago and accredited to a supernatural power is actually proof that Israelis have the deeds to Israel. As I have said before if there is a supernatural power/God I would be very disappointed to discover that he/she was sone kind of estate agent.
Absolute nonsense.

Maremia Mon 17-Nov-25 15:59:16

No Lathyrus, not so that they can claim the land or not.
Perhaps re-read the original explanation, a while back.

Maremia Mon 17-Nov-25 16:02:25

If we were using DNA as proof of a right to residency, then to go to America, north, or south, European DNA would not hack it.

Maremia Mon 17-Nov-25 16:04:00

Now if you put some good gin and tonic in that hut?

Lathyrus3 Mon 17-Nov-25 16:24:39

You’d spread the manure? You can have a whole bottle for that😬

Lathyrus3 Mon 17-Nov-25 16:27:23

Honestly though I really don’t get the whole DNA thing.

What is Cariadagain saying if it’s not about genetic selection?

Except that two off the wall stances don’t get anyone anywhere do they?

I don’t accept any religious documents about anything really, so no I wouldn’t regard what they say as valid.
But the DNA?
What would they be testing for? What would be acceptable? What would exclude you?
I really don’t see what this is about. So I think it’s very very silly.

Lathyrus3 Mon 17-Nov-25 16:42:57

Why do people keep saying 2000 years ago?

I don’t get that either.

Oreo Mon 17-Nov-25 16:45:59

There have been Jews living in that region before and since Jesus, and tho there were expulsions for many Jews a thousand years later there were always some living there since that time.
Hundreds of years before the prophet Muhammad was born, so no Muslim presence for a long long time there. So anyone who thinks that only Arab peoples should and did live there need to think again.

Oreo Mon 17-Nov-25 16:47:58

You’re spot on Lathyrus3
Two off the wall stances indeed.

“Why should Israel give it back? It’s theirs.”

Not all of it Oreo, not by a long chalk, they should give back the land they stole from Palestinians. Because just as Israelis want their own land so do Palestinians.

Much too late for that now.

It’s anyone’s guess 🤷🏼‍♀️

It’s just that 2000 years ago Palestine was a Roman province.
Israel and Judah were Iron Age kingdoms.

S talking about a book written 2000 years ago is just so inaccurate it irritates me, especially as people latch onto it and repeat it when it was wrong to start with.
If there’s going to be a historic reference at least take the trouble to get it right😡

Sorry, I’m teaching my Grandmother to suck eggs 😬😂😂

Oreo Mon 17-Nov-25 17:02:36

Delicious eggs tho 😄🥚🥚🥚

Babs03 Mon 17-Nov-25 17:04:06

@Oreo

“Much too late for that now.”

In that case Israel will have to live with the insecurity that their land grabbing, apartheid, and massacres will inevitably lead to.
No good complaining that they live surrounded by potential enemies when their actions have actually led to this.
And they can count on the US until they can’t, because the time will come when even their one remaining ally decides the money spent on funding Israel’s killing sprees is better spent at home.

Oreo Mon 17-Nov-25 17:09:07

Israel has lived with some insecurity for a long time now and all Jews have also lived with it for an even longer time.
It is what it is.
All worth it for having their very own country.

Babs03 Mon 17-Nov-25 17:09:46

It was Nanna8 and Allira who brought up the Bible written 2000 years ago Lathyrus3, which I agree is irritating, would you care to aim your irritation at them whilst having such fun with this.

Oreo Mon 17-Nov-25 17:10:02

I think the US will always be a firm ally of Israel no matter who the President is.

Lathyrus3 Mon 17-Nov-25 17:12:51

Sorry my fun is making you cross.

I’m having a day on the sea so probably posting too much🙁

Lathyrus3 Mon 17-Nov-25 17:13:40

Oh dear. On the sofa.

Must be the tablets I’m taking.

Probably that levity will annoy you too…….
