Epstein is Trump's Watergate Scandal.

August 1974 and the historic resignation of President Richard Nixon who, after repeatedly denying involvement in the Watergate Building burglary, was caught out by his own tapes recording incriminating discussions.

At least he was still honourable enough to resign.

But Trump will have to be dragged out of the White House screaming and kicking and cursing because there isn't an atom of honour in the morally bankrupt reptile.

They have, so far, redacted the majority of the files, 16 files originally posted have disappeared and now they have been caught adding photos to the files that allegedly had nothing to do with the trafficking.

Someone will blow this open someday. But there are still too many powerful people covering this all up right now.

The good news is that the Republicans in the House are starting to revolt, and bi-partisan Files of Impeachment are being considered against Hegseth, RFKjr and Bondi.

January is going to get pretty wild in my opinion. We are looking at another Government shut down and Johnson shut down the House to avoid a vote on health care subsidies, which means millions of people just lost all health care. First premiums will happen about the same time the shut down does.

Another day in paradise. angry

I keep being shocked by how corrupt they are and get away with it.

Eh? How many people’s ’personal lives’ involve sex with trafficked women and girls? There is a lot of clear blue sky between being ‘pure and decent’ and that.

eazybee Sun 21-Dec-25 06:45:51

My feeling, (no evidence whatsoever) is that Trump was a friend of Epstein, two deeply unpleasant men together, until he realised what Epstein was doing, which was setting up a 'party house' specifically for blackmail purposes. Why else the thousands of apparently innocuous photographs; cameras in every room?

It takes one to know one, and Trump was sharp and quick enough to extract himself, probably because he didn't need Epstein's money or the services provided.

Wyllow3 Sun 21-Dec-25 07:28:43

Possible, but if that was the case, why has he spent so long trying to cover-up and now to delete so much material?

Good grief, you're the first person I've come across that has said that. Do you think the American people are wrong to want to know who else was involved with Epstein and what those people knew and did? It's possible that Epstein was blackmailing people and providing information to foreign countries. There is a great deal more to this criminality than "satisfying men's fantasies" by trafficking and abusing children.

I don't think there's anything 'narrow minded' about people voicing their concern over the trafficking of women and girls to, as you put it, 'satisfy men's fantasies'.

Casdon Sun 21-Dec-25 08:22:56

I think it has gone beyond the point of mattering whether Trump was involved personally in any sexual activities. The accusations of a cover up, which is perverting the course of justice, are what will bring him down ultimately, so the comparison with Watergate is apt.

foxie48 Sun 21-Dec-25 08:31:25

Yes I also think it's apt, but Trump won't resign. If the mid terms go against him and hopefully they will, I think he will be impeached again but not necessarily because of the Epstein files. He's totally alienating Republicans who are not maga and he's splitting his maga base, helped by MTG 's attacks on him. Hopefully he'll get trounced at the mid terms.

Epstein is Trump's Watergate Scandal

Not seeing it myself.
Not yet anyway.

Maremia Sun 21-Dec-25 08:58:32

Being against under age sex, trafficking and sadistic sexual violence is not being 'narrow minded, is it?

I do wonder if some people are treating the girls subjected to these crimes in the same way that the girls who were sexually abused by the grooming gangs ie it was their choice and they knew what they were doing!

eazybee Sun 21-Dec-25 10:19:20

The news reporting at present seems to focus on mildly salacious photographs, not on any details of blackmail, which obviously is far more important.

keepingquiet Sun 21-Dec-25 10:24:41

Trump won't go- he has got away with all sorts so far. He still has defenders despite what is obvious to most people- also all the others will be brought done with him and they can't bear that idea either.
Meanwhile, we have to put up with the crazy and constant media coverage...this will drag on for years.

Maremia Sun 21-Dec-25 11:02:51

His dementia will get to a point where it can't be ignored.

This is sick.

If you think it’s every man’s fantasy to collect poor, underage girls to satisfy their degenerate sexual urges, I fear for the children in your life. For if this is normal to you it is because you are surrounded by deviants who have normalized that way of thinking. Shame on you for those wicked thoughts. Shame on the perverts who think like you. Absolutely horrific mentality you have.

BlessedArt Sun 21-Dec-25 11:14:07

What kind of human, let alone a “mum” condones sex trafficking??? angry

He will go. Whether it’s death, dementia, scandal or subterfuge that will force him out, who knows, but I’d be very surprised if he lasts the term. It’s like a bottle of pop being shaken.

AGAA4 Sun 21-Dec-25 11:54:26

If Trump does go before the term is over it will most likely be Vance who will take over. I think he may be worse if that is possible.

Maremia Sun 21-Dec-25 12:18:08

Yes, but Vance is not the MAGA god. And maybe Republicans are not so scared of him. And when Trump goes, it will be easier to get at more of the Files evidence, and see the others who are implicated.

Jennerdysphoria Sun 21-Dec-25 13:23:48

Vance doesn't have charisma, so unlikely to fill Trump's shoes with the MAGA base (even if it's still unified, which also seems unlikely).

Obviously I hope you're right- but there is nothing I can see that will suggest it will be any time soon.
Yes, he could die suddenly but then his family will be making moves...
Dementia is slow and very debilitating. I can't see a significant deterioration in his condition- he's always said crazy things and people love him for it.
Scandal- well he's had far more than most and still remains untouched by it.
Subterfuge? Not by anyone competent enough in his own camp. There is no one plotting a take-over.
He may well still be there in a years time... even more.

Maremia Mon 22-Dec-25 06:58:00

Those people who love Trump will soon be losing their Medicare. How many of the 'Latinos for Trump' still support him?
