Some excellent news.

Caged Hens to be banned.

Pigs farrowing crates to be banned.

End of puppy farming

Consultation on electric shock collars - imo ought to have been banned years ago.

Ban on shooting hares

Ban on snares

End of trail hunting

New laws for the humane slaughter of farmed fish

Highest welfare for zoo animals.

Good.

They should have followed the rules! Trails laid across fields of pregnant ewes?? Trails laid across main roads?? I think not. Foxhounds in general do not get to make old age - I have never seen an old foxhound. What do you honestly think happens to them? Why are hounds needed at all in such huge numbers anyway? We are not in the dark ages.

Greyhounds are bred to chase but make wonderful pets. I'm sure retired foxhounds can be socialised too.
As a vegetarian I cannot see the difference between ordinary abattoirs and those for kosher or halal approved meat.
