Following on from their illegal attacks on boats on the high seas, where they have killed all souls on board.

The USA is out of control.

I wish the US military would just refuse to obey him.

Well, (I must read about it) I am sure that I am hearing that the top military are firing warning shots over Trump’s bow.

Must verify that, but would not be surprised as they were not happy at his use of the military on USA soil.

Would be interesting to understand the chain of command, and at which point 'illegal' orders could be halted.

I don’t think Maduro underestimated Trump - neither does the rest of the world.

We all understand that he is out of control, the question is - what to do about it. .

My son, who has been in Venezuela, thinks that USA have had help from the army who basically run the country.

By all accounts Maduro is (was) not a great leader.

However, it’s really not up to Trump to use violence to implement regime change in a sovereign country.

Now trump will install the woman who lost the election.

The POTUS has overstepped and is interfering in the governance of a sovereign country. There can be no justification for these activities. Apparently Trump has also threatened Iran according to the BBC.

I wonder how we would feel if Trump was to behave in this way to support Farage and his ilk! There have also been threats against Greenland/Denmark and Canada not to mention the Ukraine! He is a dangerous and out of control president!

I have two observations.
1. Venezuela has the most oil reserves in the world.

Trump is after the oil and minerals in Venezuela. He rarely does anything that doesn't benefit himself.

Exactly. For all his many faults I had Trump down as someone who would strive for peace. Looks like I was wrong. I can't help wondering if he is showing early signs of dementia. Some of his actions and statements are extreme to say the least.
