Woman shot and killed by ICE officers in Minneapolis, Minnesota

We all get upset at what we witness. We are human, and to my mind you are not normal if it doesn't affect you.

So very upsetting to watch. This from youtube gives a very detailed account about how the ICE officer was not hit even though the US press are saying he is now in hospital. He even drove away after the event - Shameful

What is so worrying to me is that at the end of last year, we mentioned the fact that 2026 is Trumps last year of real power, after which for various reasons he would not be so powerful.

We then went on to say that to expect some pretty unpleasant stuff in 2026.

I am sure that no one expected so much just 8 days into the new year.

To stop the vehicle 'getting away', all the officer had to do was pump the three bullets into the tyres and not into her face!
No excuse!

And what excuses are being offered for not allowing medical aid to the victim?

This is absolutely horrendous. What an awful world we are living ! Mind you as a Jewish person I am glad I live in the UK!

And now the FBI has shut down the investigation of the officer by refusing to work with the local authorities and not sharing crucial evidence, thus stopping any independent investigation.

There are at least 3 Supreme Court Cases that have settled case law on this, and none of those cases are in favor of the ICE officer in this instance. Even DHS policy states that they aren't allowed to fire into moving vehicles unless there are a limited number of circumstances.

I understand what Oreo is saying in that this could be a gray area, and it does look like she tried to run him over. I doubt this will ever go to court, but if it does, this is what I would expect to see from the Prosecutor.

1. she was trying to leave the scene and she waved the ICE vehicle through to go around her.
2. She was given a directive to leave the area before the masked ICE agents got out of their unmarked truck, which she was trying to do. There was 2 other police officials behind her car that show no fear of their lives being in danger.
3. After she was given a directive to leave, the masked men got out of the truck and surrounded her.
4. The officer that shot her had walked around the back side of her vehicle, then across the front of the vehicle from what I can see. She was distracted by the other 2 officers yelling at her to get out of the car. I wonder if she knew he was there.

Her car drive away straight because he shot her point blank in the head. She died, her foot hit the pedal and the car went until it hit whatever stopped it. A pole I think?

The ICE agent who shot her, who Trump stated was hospitalized from this event, calmly walked away from the vehicle and then the rest of the agents refused her medical help.

There is enough reasonable doubt, in my opinion, to cast doubt that this man's life was really in danger and this excessive force was needed.

Add on to that the history of ICE agents harming protestors.

I am not a court, nor a jury though. This man needs to be tried and a jury can decide if he was justified. He wont though, because the investigation was just taken over by the FBI.

I hope this is the beginning of the end of the Trump administration because the American people turn against this lying thug.

Just watching the Minnesota Governor. It is unbelievable that Minnesota is now cut out of the investigation.

Calling for peaceful civil disobedience rather than violence which is what Trump supporters want, to use it as an excuse to put more troops on the ground.

Shocking, these murderous thugs are out of control and there is plenty of filmed evidence to show what really happened. I don't think there is any film of an ICE operative being harmed or to support the claim that the woman was obstructing the operatives. Both would appear to be false claims and fake news.

Why did they go into the schools?

Because they think they can go everywhere, There does not seem to have been any censure at any time.

Personally I don't agree we should just let ICE officers " get on with their jobs" if this is what they do and the outcome- dead citizens. I'll just agree to differ with you on that and trust that the ICE officer in this incident and Homeland Security is held to account.

Well, I for one would just let them get on with their jobs as I don’t want to be a dead citizen or an injured one either.Of course I hope the officer will be held to account too, so we don’t differ on that.
There may be more than meets the eye to this….if so it will come out.

I don't know yet whitewave, I don't see who they were looking to pick up in any of the news reports. But they have repeatedly taken parents from cars in school pick up lines. All Minnesota public schools have been canceled for today and tomorrow for the safety of their students and staff.

ICE are vicious thugs, and yes there are some Jan 6ers in there. These people seem to be psychopaths who enjoy harming people and then refusing them medical care. My opinion of course.

Smileless - the only good news right now is that the House just bypassed Johnson to secure a vote on the health care subsidies and now there is massive bi-partisan support against Trump starting WWIII. Congress is now appearing to want to regain control of their war powers.

I don't think that will help the ICE situation, but it is nice to see them finally pull their heads our of their orifices for a short stint. Hopefully that is the direction they keep heading.

Trump knows he is in trouble. He has mentioned it the last week or so, about being impeached if the GOP doesn't win 2026. He then started talking about cancelling the election. Hypothetically of course.

Lots of footage on the BBC news showing the actual footage you have all seen above, and the demonstrations in Minnesota. Crowds are growing at the spot where it happened and more protests across the city.
The Minnesota Mayor has given public statements against what happened and the was the FBI are being used against local investigators.

I'm very, very angry and cannot understand any apologists.

Good to hear you do want the ICE officer to be held to account Oreo and I shouldn't think anyone wants to be a dead or injured citizen. It was good in this incident there were so many members of the public who didn't just stand by to let the officers get on with their jobs and recorded their actions and shared the videos on line.

I’m afraid there are lots of people cheering the ICE agent on and rejoicing at the poor woman’s death, probably the same on X but I left it last November. They are probably the minority but it is disturbing to read what they are saying.
