Sago why are Andrew’s daughters “greedy”? In every other respect I agree with you 100%
Cut and pasted from Reddit, but sums it up for me.
Business Dealings: Both princesses have been scrutinized for business dealings in the Middle East, with reports suggesting they have received high-value gifts, such as a £18,000 necklace for Beatrice, and have been linked to securing private wealth through interconnected business relationships.
Epstein Connections: Revelations from the Jeffrey Epstein files have highlighted that the princesses, along with their mother, were involved with the convicted sex offender, with reports of them having taken flights paid for by him in 2009.
Refusal to Disclose Finances: Both Beatrice and Eugenie reportedly declined to make their finances transparent when asked.
"Having it all" Criticism: Critics have accused the sisters of attempting to enjoy the benefits of royal status and a lavish lifestyle while simultaneously navigating the scandal-ridden, "toxic" reputation of their parents.
I absolutely agree that lots of people, even high profile people, are arrested and released without charge, but does anyone here really believe this will happen when it’s a member of our own RF and been done so publicly? It’ll be an interesting watch, and pretty shocking.
Just another man with his brains between his legs. No punishment could atone for his abhorrent behaviour, nor excuse his sheer stupidity. I hope he will stop protesting his innocence and cooperate fully with investigators, and I hope his dreams are forever haunted by his past.
Sago, thank you, see your reasoning now.

David “How could he have been so stupid…* I believe he thought he could literally do whatever he liked, wher and when he liked and with whomever he chose.
I would used the word “stupid”, I would use words like arrogant, uncaring, predatory and even treasonous!
As for his punishment (if found guilty, of course) I think he should be driven through London, in a horse drawn open cart, wearing only his pants and a dunces hat and the general public allowed to throw rotten tomatoes at him, maybe accompanied by his favourite 25 teddies.
My DH thinks he should be beheaded at Traitors Gate then his head put onto a spike! 😱😱Actually I don’t think any of this is funny or a laughing matter. For example, in 2008 when this country was facing huge financial problems, it’s alleged that A was leaking confidential information that could have undermined the steps our Govt was taking to try and mitigate the situation. Some of us might that this could at least morally be called treason.
Actually it wasn't a numerous suggestion, if he is jailed which he may be, if found guilty, he will serve in an open prison in comfort at our expense.
He has already lost everything, money, dignity, respect and would probably find prison a relief from it all

He is being held in custody.
What sort of custody do you imagine, a holding cell, an interview room or the Chief Superintendent’s private office?
Whatever, it will be a complete shock to him.
Apparently, ‘ a cell in a custody suite, with just a bed and toilet. No special treatment’.
From the BBC News website.
What an awful man he is. Im reading Andrew Lownies book on them called Entitled. What a family. The daughters also gravitating towards people with money. Who remembers the endless holidays they had prior to their marriages? How did they afford those? An update on the book is due shortly with even more in it. Apparently the author has been threatened.
Poor Virginia Giuffre who died before she could see him arrested. Awful family, the four of them.
Not sure if it’s already been mentioned but today is AMW’s 66th birthday!
Tuliptree. Don’t get me wrong I know the royal family have turned a blind eye to Andrew’s crimes, and am by no means a royalist, but on a human level I can see how devastating this must be for members of the royal family, of their own making to some degree but am pretty sure they were unaware of the depths to which Andrew and his wife had sunk which is only know being revealed by the Epstein files.
Tbh I think Andrew was protected by his mother for many years, indeed he was her favourite, Charles however has responded quickly when stripping Andrew of his titles and removing him from the family. Who knows if he would have acted differently towards Andrew given the chance.

I thought he was older.
I doubt if he will forget it in a hurry. He may have to make up his own bed tonight- a nightmare.
This is the right thing to do. Presumably the police have some strong evidence to take this action.

Well he won’t be getting a ten course birthday dinner with silver service that’s for sure.
How the mighty fall.
Fallingstar. I guess we’ll probably never definitively know who knew what when . However, on the issues in the present arrest, I do believe that when he was sacked as trade envoy the Q and PC must have or should have been aware of some of his financial misdeeds. Whether it was turning a blind eye or a wilful protection of him, we had the right to expect them to behave better and do their duty to us not to their son/ brother. Bring a head of state/ heir isn’t something you can turn on or off
He has been arrested for misconduct in public office.
Prince Charles has issued a statement just now and said the law must take its course.
I've read the Andrew Lowndes book, so have been well aware of how he's abused his position the divine right of the king's brother is no longer yes I know all that was consigned to history and of course he's a commoner now, just like the rest of us. Nevertheless the arrest of such a former high ranking royal is unprecedented. I have wondered, if he had handed on confidential state papers without authorisation whether that would be deemed treasonable. Also could he be subpoenaed to give evidence in the US? Not sure how all that works, whether he would be outside US jurisdiction. The man's a complete idiot, he's behaved in the most cavalier manner in thinking he has no accountability. Boy have the chickens come home to roost.
I bet the King wishes he could have laid his hands on a vat of malmsey before the shit hit the fan
I’m shocked at the shock being presented by some of news presenters that this person has been arrested.
I’m more shocked that young vulnerable girls were abused and degraded not just by these men but in somecases the general public too who couldn’t or wouldn’t take off the blindfold because of Who was being accused.
It was always going to be moneyor misconductthat would open the doors to justice.
These corrupt powerful men are fooling usthe pubic and laughing in our faces at how easy it is to put on a decent suit and fool the masses.
Delighted to hear the king has responded.
No one is above the law. I have no particular fondness for Andrew but I do think he is subject to a media witch-hunt. I am yet to see any actual evidence that Andrew is a peadophile. However, there is evidence suggesting misconduct in public office so the police had to arrest him to look into the matter. We will have to see what happens next. I am quite bored with him TBH. It is all over the TV this morning. Media salivating. Makes me angry!
YAY!
I count what he has done as being treason.
Levelling on a horrific scale.
Now what for Trump?
His arrest has nothing to do with allegations about abusing and degrading vulnerable girls Granniesunite.
What's making me angry Cronesrule is that the intense media coverage isn't restricted to what he's been arrested for, but is bringing into the equation allegations that have yet to be substantiated.
