Yet another seemingly Walter Mitty character but this guy has gone far seemingly unchallenged …… until now.

Reminds me of The Emperor’s New Clothes story. 😉
His claims are absolutely laughable.

The story is in all the newspapers and channels but am linking Wiki as whichever link is added, some people will ridicule it.

Yes the guardian, wateraid, durham university, the football clubs, the students, presumably they should all just have gone along with it all.

An"unexplained " death, we on GN have been as critical as any.

The real culprits have been the liberal extremists who aimed to make an autistic dyslexic a professor at Cambridge knowing his intellectual limitations and he just could not cope with the criticism.

We see this very often children who have praise exaggerated of their achievements, then when they get to the real world they can't cope. It ends in depression and often worse

That’s it exactly.

As I said on another Thread,
Investigation...yes
Pile on...no

And what about the children, David, who are told, don't bother, you'll always be a loser?

Nobody tells a child dont bother although they may learn it off their parents, those that have the talent will shine, hopefully in away that enables them to pay the rent and contribute to society

Well David, Professor Arden did shine, in a way that enabled him to pay the rent and contribute to society
Where’s your evidence David, that nobody tells a child don’t bother, or that we see this very often in children who get exaggerated praise then can’t cope in the real world?

I’m amazed at the confidence with which you blame liberal extremists made an autistic dyslexic a professor, knowing he couldn’t cope with criticism.

No investigation has taken place yet you know enough to reach conclusions based on your own world view and prejudice

A young father appears to have taken his life after media and public scrutiny that must have been incredibly scary and stressful. Reflection on what a dreadful time this has been for him, his loved ones and colleagues is needed

He may have been autistic, he may have been dyslexic, but does that mean he was not aware of what he was doing? He obviously was not stupid and most people who are autistic, dyslexic or both are not stupid either.

This is a very tragic ending to a very strange saga.

On one hand he was flattered by the attention he was getting but he was being used, it's clear he was being supported by others that had an extreme diversity agenda. Im sure Cambridge old boys network will close ranks and divert any blame, thats what they are good at.

Those that become professors at the highest levels of academia, have high intelect, they are able to robustly defend any challenge to their opinions. They are not vulnerable, fragile individuals Arday definitely was.
