H&M Again- Change Of Schools.

(293 Posts)
Calendargirl Tue 15-Sept-26 07:01:33

So H&M have changed the childrens school, after only a few days there.

Suddenly, the school run has become a huge security risk.

Did they not give any thought to this before enrolling them there? Practice runs at either end of the day, to assess the risks? đŸ€·â€â™€ïž

Hardly the best start for two little children, moving continents, homes and schools in a matter of days.

Yet another reason for the ‘security’ issue to raise its head.

The manipulations are pretty obvious.

They have moved to a rural setting with probably winding narrow roads with high hedges, exactly what did they expect, we don't see it as a problem but probably M does, would H find it strange? perhaps after living in California for a few years perhaps he does but exactly where they will live in the UK without security being a risk I have no idea as they have made it such a huge thing in their own heads , I think they need to speak to Zara &Mike Tindall whose children seem to be able to enjoy their freedom especially when they are at an event with their Parents but still get invited to Royal events and their parents have the best of both worlds. Apart from The Queen & Princess Anne I can't remember any other Royal having a security issues. Certainly not as Children.

Zara Timdall is 23rd inline, her children are 24th, 25th and 26th.

Not sure their circumstances are the same as Prince Harry’s family.

He cannot help his birthright, maybe he should abdicate his succession but then again why should he?

Harry cannot abdicate unless he became Monarch as I explained in my post of Tue 15-Sept-26 11:18:38. He could renounce his place if he wanted to (for all we know perhaps he does) but it would require an Act of Parliament and the agreement of any relevant Commonwealth countries too.
Archie and Lilibet would then move up one place.

No, Archie and Lily are numbers 6 ans 7, after number 5 Harry. They are already ahead of Andrew (8)

If either Harry or Andrew succeeded to the throne I suspect that would be the end of Monarchy in UK.

Its trending in the media that there was never any security problem - it just took too long to get through the traffic. Maybe getting started earlier would have helped and not putting together a 'rainbow' lunch box. But it has to be spun as a security problem as this is part of their agenda.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 15-Sept-26 17:22:34

JenniRen I used abdicate when I should have used renounce

butterandjam Tue 15-Sept-26 17:25:07

oops, disregard. P Andrew is not in your post.

Maybe Harry will send them to boarding school instead.

No hassle with lunches and the school run, no need to be a stay at home dad, Meghan could bunk off back to the USA.
Win win win.

Somewhere amongst all this is a roundabout way of getting security courtesy of the taxpayer.

JenniRen Tue 15-Sept-26 17:37:45

Perhaps walking to the local village school might be quicker?

Just a thought. There are some good primary schools in Gloucestershire.
Or do they live in Oxfordshire?

Smileless2012 Tue 15-Sept-26 17:39:45

Blatant rather than a roundabout way IMO. Is anyone really going to be taken in by this?

Why do you care?

It’s got nothing to do with any of us, some of you are almost accusing H&M of child abuse.

It doesn’t matter what they do or say, it’s their business. Don’t like M’s Instagram? That’s fine, don’t look at it.

Think their rubbish parents, fine that’s your opinion.

As for the entire tax thing and security, it’s utterly ridiculous to comment. I don’t like taxes being used on all kinds of things, including subsidising the Houses of Parliaments Bars and Restaurants.

Bad luck to me!

Stop. You didn’t get the memo that when a famous person is disliked by some people, the famous person shouldn’t post on social media like the other 3 billion people on Earth who do? Or that you could call someone a bad parent without having spent 2 seconds with them in real life? Or that you can be so “concerned” about 2 children you’ve never met that you can’t help but post online how much you can’t stand their parents, feeding the ill feelings that encourage wackos in real life? Clearly your perception of reality is skewed. The Mumsnet/Gransnet world has the “right” opinions on the children’s lives. They know better, what with their own perfect families and all.

They have protection, their parents pay for security and knew there wouldn't be state funded security when they decided to return.

Harry lost a court case for state funded security in May 2025 and said it would never be safe for him to bring his family back to the UK, so why did he?

Prince Harry does pay for Private Security for him and his family.

What he cannot do is pay for armed security, or have access to information that the U.K. security services have regarding current threat levels.

His security does not have the ability to keep with the vehicle carrying Harry and/or his children in heavy traffic flow which U.K. security services and police have.

Prince Harry is fifth inline to the throne and his children are sixth and seventh, they can never be just ordinary citizens

My thoughts on whether or not I agree with their choices over the last few years are irrelevant, as they have no relevance on the line of succession.

I heard a radio piece which gave the reason as the distance, length of time the children were travelling as the concern expressed by the Sussex security team.
My drive to my regular dog walk is fifteen minutes during school holidays, forty five minutes or more now the schools are back. No problem for me, I leave at 9.30 rather than any time between 8 and 9,30
Yes I realise this is another stick to bash them with.

Says it all.

JenniRen Tue 15-Sept-26 17:59:42

"As long as the children are happy" as a neighbour used to say!

Most of us who can avoid rush hours and school run hours unless we have an appointment somewhere.
I know people who leave for work at 6.30am to avoid the traffic otherwise it takes them four times as long to get to work.

merlotgran Tue 15-Sept-26 18:24:42

Why do they need a convoy to take two small children to school?

Iam64 Tue 15-Sept-26 18:38:45

Presumably because the expert security people they employ have completed a risk assessment and concluded this is necessary

fancythat Tue 15-Sept-26 18:44:43

But it has to be spun as a security problem as this is part of their agenda.

I am wondering if the security firm will come out and say it was not their fault.
We shall see.

It is not a good look for the firm so far.

Would this be the same risk management team who don’t know that a school run route is quieter in the holidays?

I expect so merlotgran

Their attention seeking and manipulation is becoming very tedious. I feel so sorry for the two children caught up in this circus.

You mean because I made a grammatical error?

Unlike some on here, I have quite a lot more to worry about than whether I made a grammatical error on a site which seems, at least today, to be full to overflowing with spite and nasty comments.

What is your problem?

mokryna Tue 15-Sept-26 19:45:20

I don’t like the that they came back but I do feel very sad for their children.

Security did not think like an ordinary English family. The best action they could take is leave earlier as many a child has to whether it be because of traffic or parents working.

Lord Louis Mountbatten was not in line to the throne but he had family ties to the royal family.

You really shouldn't be telling posters off...it only encourages them, well definitely encourages me.
I think you should take a break from threads about H&M, especially as you have other things to worry about.

I never mentioned Andrew. He is irrelevant.

If Harry were somehow to remove himself from the line of succession then his children would move up one.
